Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I love my GII Hunter as well. I threaded my barrel at the factory length as well. I installed a Syrac adjustable gas block. I have mine topped with a Bushy HDMR (3.5x21) with the TREMOR2 reticle. I'm practicing for local DMR matches. Mine has run flawlessly as well. Accuracy out to 700yds has been great. I would share group sizes, but I'm banging metal, not punching holes in paper. My local range goes out to ~1200. I have stayed below 700 so far. Over the next month I'll start to stretch further out. My next step is to look into getting a GII stripped upper from DPMS and installing a barrel kit from JP in 6.5 Creedmoor. Need to look into whether all of these parts would work together.
  2. Looks like DPMS has G2 spare parts for sale. This includes uppers, lowers, bolt carrier, etc. http://www.dpmsinc.com/308-GII-Parts_c_496.html
  3. Any updated news on the 6.5CM upper? I read the previous posts that stated DPMS was targeting to release these by the end of the year.
  4. Whidden Gun Works now has as modified 550 Toolhead that will work with 300 Blackout: http://www.whiddengunworks.net/300blkproducts.html
  5. I have been having the same issue using H-110 as I am reloading for 300 Blackout. Over the weekend, I swapped out the small powder measure for the large powder measure on my 550. Problem went away! I had read on several forum sites including other posts here about this idea. I had no problems getting down to the 18+ gr load for my recipe.
  6. Look at Barnes Precision Machine. www.barnesprecisionmachine.com Andrew makes a great rifle and the customer service is top notch. I shoot his Tactical Match Rifle. I have approx 9500 rds through it and stills shoots sub MOA. Wanted to correct the link for Barnes...http://barnesprecision.com/
  7. What recipe have you used that qualifies for major?
