Here is the front sight...
-
I am planning to use the SVI rear sight on my new 2011 build. What should I use for the front FO sight to match? Thanks
Use a SV FRont sight as well. Brandon creates a cut under the fiber optic and polishes the cut to reflect even more light. If you like a fiber optic rear sight he does the same thing. Also, as stated, these parts are made from billet and made in Texas!
The rear is available in the standard Bomar cut or a Infinity low profile cut.

Obviously the choices are the L-N-L and the 650.
No choice there, I own both and a 1050 as well as have had several others. The LnL AP is not a "bad" machine, it just is NOT in the same class as a 650. For the money and piece of mind, buy the Dillon.

Setup took a while but have loaded ~25-30k .38 SC on mine and I would never load without it again. Love it and my ammo s much more consistent than ever.
-
I have only loaded about 1000 rounds on my auto-drive 1050 setup but I had had no issues. I am not trimming, just case gauging and tearing down rounds with brass that is too long.

Yes, it is a 5.4in. Andy waited a little longer than we wanted to for him to have it but I am sure he likes it so much he has forgetten about that!

7.7gr AutoComp with a 125gr Hornady HAP bullet at 1.237" makes ~174 PF out of our 4 hole Infinity IMM guns.

No issues as long as they are made from mild steel. Even a 125pf 9mm is not going to come back at the distance. My previous club had 100 metal stands and the only pia is fixing them after being shot but I guess that is not different from a wood stand.

I think you would be surprised at just how much polishing it would take to simulate 1000 rounds of use.
Why do you think cars need 500-1000 miles before putting them under load. No difference.
Infinity guns are fit extremely tight and heat treated to very exacting specs. This is why I have shot 35000 rounds through a Stainless Infinity and honestly you could not tell it was not a brand new gun. Smooth as glass and built to last.

I used 50+k of them without issue. Good deal if they are still offering the 12k package.

Oh yeah, it is probably a 2003/2004 built gun.
-
I had one exactly like it. It took 11gr 3N38 to make major with a 124gr MG JHP. I got Brandon to install a new barrel and comp as the blast was intense and RO's will hate you!

DFW Practical Shooting Association (www.dfwpsa.com) will be shooting the 2nd Saturday and 4th Sunday in Anna, TX.
Check them out, their first match is this Saturday.

Brandon can lighten the gun up quite a bit. Mobius cutout in the grip and internal slide work can get the weight down. I personally like the weight. Sure it slows transitions but sight recovery is faster. Brandon "can" make a grip out of titanium but whew!!! Titanium is ~11X the material cost of Carbon Steel. Also, I had one of the square port barrels....I replaced it within a month, too loud, too much powder, but sure kept the RO's back .

If you're going by the factory say hi to Trace for me!
Come on now, he isn't always there .

NuFinnish is very, very good......IOSSO is the best. Expensive, but does a fabulous job.

Nic and I will be there!

No doubt Jimmy and Artie are great folks and the match is fun....just saying, if they need more apps.....open up the Open division and see what happens. If the numbers make and you can have class trophies, great, if not, a division trophy is all good. If not, Nic and I will still show up and shoot Open for no published score.
As to catching a fish with every cast...hum, the last time I shot Limited, I wished I was out fishing. It's no good if you use the fiber optic front sight just like a C-More dot, you don't hit too much :-).

Hey Jimmy,
I got one word, Open, Open, Open. I don't own a Limited gun, nor would I shoot one as I shoot Open much good'er :-).

The current wait time is the same for any type of gun.

I have had a similar experience most of the time. There was a period about a year and a half ago where it really was 1+ months for me to get some though. It sure would have been nice to have an alternative source. Personally this is not an issue for me, heck I have enough new brass loaded rounds and reloaded rounds to last me and Nic for all of 2012. Still doesn't negate the better position we would all be in just in case Starline had an issue where they couldn't produce for an extended period of time. Just think about what happened to Schuemann barrels.....they had a major electrical issue and were out for quite some time. I as well as you work in IT and we know no matter how well protected, sometimes shit happens.

I made the mistake of buying 2k of Armscorp in .38RL. It was the worst crap I've ever TRIED. Since then, whenever I'm sorting brass, if I see an "AP" headstamp, it goes in the scrap bucket!
I saw some brass in Greece that I would like to know where it came from.....it's headstamp was IPSC 38SC.
Lee
Lee,
If the brass was headstamped with IPSC 38SC, it was probably match ammo supplied by Geco Ammunition. They were the official Match Ammo suppliers for the World Shoot.
Cheers ....
Nope....I bought 750 rounds of the Official Match Ammo and it was headstamped Geco .38 Super.....the IPSC 38SC was from somewhere else.

I got tired of screwing around wit my big ass box with 2 CED M2 chronographs in it so I just bought a Kurzzeit PVM-08 chronograph. I will report back if it works as good as I hope.
