  1. Competitors, Here is the cash payback breakdown for the Task Force Dagger 3 Gun Championship being hosted at AIM on June 16th and 17th. We are offering $6,000 in cash payback, and these numbers are based on our estimate of 80 shooters in Tac Optics, 25 in Tac Irons, and 20 in Open. If the percentage of shooters in each division changes, these numbers will be adjusted to reflect the change. The $6,000 will still be offered, but we need to keep the percentage of payout proportional to the number of entries in the respective division. There will be offerings on the prize table that have a value of much more than $1,000, and if a shooter wishes to place their check on the table and take that item instead, they will have that option. The check will remain on the prize table for another competitor to take if they choose. I will keep everyone updated on depth of the prize table as more items arrive. Entries will continue to be taken over the phone with credit card or debit payment, or through mail via check of money order. Tac Optics 1st- $1,000 2nd- $500 3rd- $400 4th- $300 5th- #200 6th- $150 Tac Irons 1st- $700 2nd- $400 3rd- $300 4th- $150 Open 1st- $700 2nd- $400 3rd- $300 High MIL/LE $250 High Lady $250 Dustin Rademacher, Training Director American International Marksmanship Academy, LLC P.O. 2. Yes there are still some slots available for Sunday, and plenty for Saturday. Sorry for delay with this response, please feel free to contact me with any other questions.
  3. All, I meant to get this reminder out a little earlier, but due to being sick all week I've been lagging. This Sunday AIM will be hosting our monthly 3-Gun Match in Blakely, GA. First shots will be at 9:00, so I would recommend arriving between 8:00 and 8:30 for sign up. I already have two pistol and two shotgun stages set up, and will be building the two rifle stages tomorrow. We will have a 26rd shotgun jungle run (using the logging trail to the right of last months jungle run). Bay 1 is a 21rd shotgun stage with 5 poppers, 2 plate racks, and 4 clays. On Bay 2, I have a 30 rd pistol stage set-up with a fun twist. With the exception of a few close range IPSC Cardboard targets, there will be A LOT of AIM's steel silhouettes incorporated into the stage. There will be plenty of paint to spray them between shooters so RO's can verify hits if there is a questionable shot. Bay 3 is a 30rd pistol stage with some good movement between arrays. The two rifle stages which I am setting up tomorrow will be a minimum of 32 rds each, both starting off with some close in stuff, moving to longer shots on steel. Max distance will be about 150yds. Lee Keith built us a few benches this week, and we are in the process of building more. We also purchased more tents, so we are working to make our matches a little more comfortable/relaxing for everyone. Thanks to everyone that bared with us for our first few matches as we were acquiring these supplies. I know that as it gets hotter, shade and seating is important to everyone. I put a lot of thought into building stages that are unique, challenging, and quick to reset, so the match should run quickly and smoothly. No tear down is required after the match, and anyone interested is welcome to stay and reshoot stages of their choice for additional practice. We have not had an issue with this yet, but ensure that we continue to follow proper safety procedures after the match. In order to stay and shoot, there must be an experienced shooter acting as an RO on the stage, and guns should only be handled/loaded once given the proper command. Once done, proper clearing steps should be taken. Again, from what I have seen, everyone is doing this so please make sure we continue to stay safe prior to, during, and after the match. If there are any newer shooters who need someone to work with after the match, just let me know and I will be happy to walk through some stages and help out were I can. In addition, for anyone that doesn't have the required equipment or ammo to shoot the match, show up with what you have and I promise someone will offer to loan you what you need to get through the match. I have some extra gear you are welcome to use too. I hope to see a lot of you out there, it'll be a good match and everyone should be done fairly early. Please pass the word around as I am still building up a distro list, right now I only have contacts for those who have attended a match here previously. Thanks everyone. -- Dustin Rademacher, Training Director American International Marksmanship Academy, LLC
  4. With the exception of two rifle stages, everything will be in the same general area, easily within walking distance. Also, there will be enough room that if you feel you need to bring a vehicle up closer to a bay, you will be able to. For the two rifle stages not in walking distance, we will have golf carts or John Deer Gators that the squad going to that stage can use to get there, if they don't want to load up their vehicle and drive. Distance to those stages is about 3/4 mile. Also, I promised rules by today. We basically looked at what 3GN is using for their Pro Series events, and adjusted to fit the TF Dagger Match. Mainly, we adjusted target types, because we will not be using the new square targets, and adjusted some scoring penalties. Failure to neutralize (only one shot on IPSC targets, not in A or B zone) is 2.5secs, same as 3GN Pro Series. Unhit targets are 5secs, and Failure to Engage is 5secs. We we be enforcing a 10sec penalty for any unhit rifle steel, to ensure no targets are purposely skipped or shot "towards". Stage and overall results are simply time plus penalties. Attached are the rules/scoring. Please read through, although they obviously are 90% taken from what 3GN has posted, there ARE some changes. Let me know if you have any questions or something is unclear or leaves room for opinion/debate. TF Dagger 3G Rules.doc
  5. We are going over the rules one more time before we publish, but expect everything to be along the same lines as what you are seeing at most of the big calendar matches. No suprises or weird changes to the norm for equipment or scoring. All paper will require either one A or B hit, or two hits anywhere to be neutralized. A select number of rifle targets will be pushed out between 325-375 yds, but target types and distance will be realistic even for shooters not using magnified optics. We will have rules/scoring posted by mid-day Monday.

  7. The American International Marksmanship Academy(AIM) will be hosting the First Anual TF Dagger 3 Gun Championship June 16th and 17th. Competitors will shoot all 8 stages on either Saturday or Sunday. 100 slots are available on Saturday, and 50 are available Sunday. Sunday slots will fill quickly as many of the 3GN Pro Series shooters will be coming down to shoot after their match on Saturday. Match registration form and match press release/ announcement is attached. A portion of all proceeds will go to the TF Dagger 3 Gun Team, which is a team of wounded special operators/ purple heart recipients that will be traveling the country to attend various 3 Gun competitions. Please join us for what promises to be a great event. Dustin Rademacher, Training Director American International Marksmanship Academy, LLC P.O. 8. All, AIM's second USPSA match of the year will be this Sunday, sign-up 9:00-9:45, shooting by 10:00. I have 4 long courses of fire planned (30-32rds each), 1 medium course of fire (24rds), and 2 short standards stages, one of which is classifier CM99-22. You will shoot the classifier immediately after the other standards stage, holstering hot and stepping over the the next box (gives you a little warm-up before the one that counts). So, yes, we will have 7 stages, but they should flow fairly quick. Stage 2 from the other week's 3 Gun match is still in place (the shotgun only stage in bay 1). Saturday morning I will be turning that stage into a 30+ round pistol stage (for anyone interested in coming out and practicing on Saturday). The stage will not be used for the match. If you are new to the sport, or just want to run a good stage a few times for some practice, it will be set up and ready to go. Tonight I will send out stage diagrams, I had an issue this week with my "trial" period for Windows/.PowerPoint expiring, and had to break out my old laptop in order to finish stages. A few weren't saved. I hope to see all of you out there, and if Easter plans force you to come out later, let me know ahead of time and we'll get you shot through later in the day. My 11yr stint in the military is finally over, and this week I am wrapping up some physicals and admin suff with the VA in the Columbus area. Starting this weekend, I will be working in Blakely(AIM) full time. That means I'll have plenty of time/resources to make each match we host well worth your trip. And as always, no teardown required, so once all the squads are complete, shooters are welcome to get additional practice on any of the stages they choose. Thanks everyone- I hope to see all of our usual shooters on Sunday. - Dustin R.
  9. Yeah, it surprised me to see he only had like 24 C's for the entire match, obviously he knew he had to be a little more careful about dropping points.
  10. And....here's Jack on stage 7 RO'ing, inside of relaxing a little on Saturday.
  11. I got 7 or 8 good videos of the stages on my channel. If you weren't able to make the match, check them out, Jack and the rest of the staff put in an awesome job putting together this match. Great variety, with challenging and unique stages designs. It was obvious a lot of thought and effort went into this thing, thanks again to everyone that made this happen. I left out stage 8, M&P death jam...( may have been some R-rated material in there!)
  12. Results have been emailed out. A few addresses were not valid, please contact me if you did not receive them. Thanks again everyone, couldn't ask for a better group of shooters!
  13. Here are 5 of the 6 stages. The 6th will be a shotgun jungle run ended with some long rifle shots on steel.
  14. All, Please join us at AIM this Sunday for our first 3 Gun match. Registration will be at 8:00, briefing at 8:45, shooting by 9:00. Because of the slightly earlier start, my goal is to have the match complete by 2:00. I will be designing all stages, and there be great variety for all guns. Longest rifle shots will be 200yds on "A/C" size steel, and 75yds on some 6" steel. We will offer 6 stages, and if you shoot each paper twice, expect a minimum 75rds pistol, 100rds rifle, 55rds birdshot. Stage designs will be out by Thursday, but here's a quick idea of what I'm looking at... Stage 1- Jungle Run into cleared area 24rds birdshot, 24 rds rifle (rifle mix of close range paper and 75-200yd steel) Stage 2- Pistol Bay Pistol 32rds Stage 3- Pistol Bay Pistol/Rifle 28rds, 28rds Stage 4- Corner Bay+ adjacent bay Pistol/Rifle 36rd rifle, 16rds pistol Stage 5- Pistol Bay Shotgun 30rds birdshot Stage 6- Pistol Bay Rifle 26rds Again, stages will remain set up once the match is complete so it will be a great opportunity for some extra trigger time/training. Match fee for 3 Gun matches will be $25, not $20 as with our USPSA Pistol Matches. This due to the amount of clays, targets, paint, and supplies that we will go through. Any stages requiring multiple guns will not require slings (guns will be staged). Outlaw scoring/rules will be in affect with one adjustment. Failure to neutralize paper will result in a 2.5 sec penalty, not 5 sec, and un-hit paper will result in a 5 second penalty, not 10. Steel targets past 50yds that are left un-hit will still be a 10 second penalty. So, in short, with the exception of steel at distance, penalties will be half what they normally are. Some big matches will be going to this format and I like it. An unintentional miss or mistake will not necessarily ruin your match, but it still "hurts". New shooters, bring what you have and there will be plenty of shooters that will loan shotguns and rifles if needed. The Pro Shop has some great deals on ammo if you don't have enough. Thanks again everyone, I hope to see you all out there! -Dustin R.
  15. CORRECTION, it will be next Sunday! 25 March. I scrolled to the wrong week in my calendar....
  16. Jesse, I'm accessing the forum from my phone right now and can't figure out how to post the link, but it's marksmanshipacademy.com They are adding a section to the site just for competition announcements and results, but I don't know if it's done yet. Either way, you'll be able to see some pics and vids of the facility.
  17. Started a new post in the multi-gun forum, we are on for a 3 Gun Match on 1 April! Please follow that topic for more info. - Dustin R. CORRECTION, I scolled to the wrong week in my phone calendar, I blame my fat thumbs. Match will ne next weekend, 25 MAR!!! I apologize.
  18. Hello Everyone, Due to the great feedback we received after the USPSA match we ran last Sunday, AIM will be hosting a 3 Gun Match on Sunday, 25 March. I will be directing the match and managing stage set-up. We will use Outlaw rules, so paper will require either 1 A-zone hit or 2 anywhere in order to be neutralized. I will push out match details and information early this week, but just wanted to let everyone know the match in on. If you shoot at every paper target twice, expect 100rds rifle, 90rds pistol, and 60rds birdshot. I plan to design 2 pistol stages, 1 pistol/rifle stage, 1 close/mid range rifle stage, 1 long range rifle stage (100-300yds), a jungle run shotgun stage, and 1 shotgun stage in the pistol bays. I'm playing with some PowerPoint stage design templates and will push out stage descriptions as I create them. Again, more info to follow this week. - Dustin R.
  19. I emailed results, please message or email me if you didn't get them.
  20. I'm glad everyone enjoyed the match! Expect us to improve each month, and I promise to strive to try to make each match even better than the last. Thank you all for coming out. It's 9;00 and I'm just getting home, won't be able to get through all the score sheets tonight, I'll have results out to everyone no later than tomorrow. - Dustin R.
