  1. Seems pretty simple to me... ;)

    165 yes

    164.9999999999 no

If I remember correctly Vince stated that this will be the way it is implemented in IPSC.

    Minor: 125.xxxx - yes; 124.xxxx - no

    Major: 170.xxxx - yes; 169.xxxx - no

  2. The RHT mags are pre-slotted for S_I/SPS frames and unslotted for Para and other if I understand them correctly. They do export a lot to Auz, but I have heard nothing about quality from their mags. There is another company, HK Precision, in RSA that make S_I mags, very good quality and very cheap, but not on the net. Can get e-mail/tel/fax if required.

  3. Oh, you make me so envious....

The FN FAL I wanted to buy....the prick sold it to someone else...for LESS...idiot. So now the project is on hold until I can find another.

How's shipping and exporting from the states to the dark continent?

  4. TNX for the info Benos. We have not had feedback from the bank yet and are still trying to sort this out. We have reported the ibillcs.com charges as fraudulent. Their webpage says they will not support a lot of porn sites, but if you google "fraud ibillcs.com" you get more porn hits than when searching for any other term.

  5. After some 'Should I or not" debate...so here goes for 2004...

    - I hate my job. I'm stagnating and finding something else is close to impossible. I drive about 8000 km every month.

    - I hate that I don't have enough time for my wife, 1yr old daughter, family and friends. See above

    - I hate that I don't have enough time or money for shooting. See above.

    - I hate that my studies are not going as they are supposed to. ...

    - I hate that I can not grow IPSC any faster in Namibia.

    - I hate that NAPSA does not generate enough money to survive and that some of the talent here has to suffer due to sub-standard range equipment and zero support.

    - I hate the new gun laws internationally. We make most of our parts due to all the bans.

    - I hate that my shooting sux and that I've lost the STD national champ trophy two years running by a small margin.

    on the other hand...

I luv that IPSC is growing in Nam, that the time I have is mostly well spent and that I WILL finish my Masters next year April. The rest only requires more hard work.... <_<

I'll take my pills with whiskey now...2005 keeps looking ....the same as 2004....

  6. And the moral of the story: How the hell should I know.... :P

    Keep shooting straight :D

    -------------

From the above I would start looking at contact surfaces and cleaning/lubricating liquids for the round count to vary so much. Or someone has huge diffs in the manufacturing process.

  7. After reading the above, I checked my and my wife's CC's. This one appeared on my wifes CC:

    IBL IBILLCS.COM E

This CC was used to place an order in the BE-store and no where else before or after and no internet purchase, other than BE, ever on this CC.

ibillcs.com seems to be a service provider for internet CC billing. How legit it is for them to take money and charge fees I do not know.

Brian, does your store subscribe to their services? Are they allowed to bill your clients?

  8. Apparently the earth picked up a slight wobble from the quake and the islands closest to the quake centre (Sumatra, etc) have moved by up to 20m. The quake changed our maps. Nature keeps reminding us how insignificant we are - we just tend to forget....

  9. Hear is what Vince told me this morning:

"There was no effect on Hong Kong, Macau, China, Singapore or to our friends in Indonesia & Malaysia.

Sri Lanka and a tourist resort in Thailand took the brunt of the death and destruction."

  10. DB,

given your nickname, I'm still trying to figure out if you're the most entitled to post in this thread or if you shouldn't speak at all... :P    :D

That is luckily not a decision I have to make... The "Buff" part refers to a for legged animal - but who knows, plastic might do to me what sights do to others around here.... :P

I still have that buff, the "new" one is in for about 6 months now. Both have the horse-shoe indent, one more than the other.

I don't know how hard these things are supposed to be, but mine a REAL hard...maybe the African sun and dry weather.... ;)

  11. A little "diff lock" tip I learned. Just touch the brake while going slow on the gas - instant "diff lock" - sort of. This re-distributes power to all wheels and not just the one/two that are spinning. Gets you out of most situations.
