  1. My 1977 slide cracked:

    3x ejection port

2x front of slide where the recoil sprg goes

1x catch where slide stop goes

will check where the other 3 were...

And I've just seen a HP where the frame cracked (2x) where the barrel link bar goes through. The bar was broken as well.

I luv a HP but I don't think its made for lots of shooting....

  2. I got no idea what the USPSA rules look like so I'll let the experts answer that part.

The second part about warnings is easy. Every RO just has to write it on the score sheets...and someons at stats will/should pick it up and add the proc's....

    just my 0.02

  3. When I was doing load development for my first 38super open gun with a Cmore, I shot the top of my chronograph this way....

That I can understand. What I don't understand is how some people still manage to shoot their chronos even with iron sights on. :P

Don't laugh...if seen it happen very often...even the chrono drivers at matches who should know how not to....

  4. I used to shoot a BHP in IPSC std div (fit the box - not 140mm mags) and was very satisfied with it. The hammer bite got sorted out with time. I switched to a Para to make major, extra capacity, etc. My scores did go up a lot by switching. The BHP however remains my primary carry gun and my wife uses it for IPSC shooting and does well with it.....

  5. Here's an idea. Why don't you give the 650 to one of your shooting buddies as a "gift" with the condition that if you come by and dump primers/cases/bullets/powder he/she will have ammo on hand according to your spec within 1 week. They get a nifty press and you get your ammo..... ...with the same benefits as loading yourself with no hassle.... <_<

  6. After scanning through the thread, here are my 0.02.....

I bought a Lee 1000 to get into progressive loading from a friend, loaded 100 rounds in about 2 hours. The amount of hassles made me sell it the next day. I'm back to my RCBS Reloader 5 single stage and am happy since. If I someday have the money to spend I might consider a Dillon, but till then I'll rather sit a load for longer and be happy than be frustrated by something that sometimes might work.... <_<
