Ok so I think its an ammo issue, when I went to the range today I only took a few rounds of my HD ammo. Federal Tactical "Flight Control", the end that rests against the shell stop isn't as smooth as some of the other ammo I used. For now I am just going to download it a round until the spring comes in, hopefully that fixes it.

Just got back from the range, didn't change a thing and it shot 100 rounds of mixed ammo no problems at all, it stripped the first round of the chamber each and every time as well. I am still going to fluff and buff and put in a new spring, but good to know it works for now

So I have a 930 with a Nordic extension, before I took it apart and cleaned it she held 9+1 no problem and loaded just fine, now if I put 9 in the mag tube it wont chamber the first round. 8 it chambers the first one just fine, but with 9 in there it doesn't grab it for some reason. The only thing I can think is that the mag spring is binding up... Thoughts?

I just picked up a used Mossberg 930, already has some nice upgrades. However I'd like to remove the rear fiber optic sight that comes standard on the "turkey" model, it is attached to the vent rib, just wondering if anyone had done this, and how?

I am getting close to finally taking the plunge on a Witness Match and have nearly convinced myself that I want it chambered 38 Super. The gun will double has a game gun and defensive type duties (home/camping etc) - for some reason 38 super has always appealed to me... As I understand it all the Tanfos are now the large frame, so longer calibers like the 38 Super tend to feed more reliably in the longer mag opening correct? I intend to shoot factory loaded ammo, both ball and hollowpoint. I don't mind a little break in period but don't want to endlessly be tweaking a stock gun to get it to run 100% Looking to hear you experiences with the Witness Match in 38 Super... Thanks!

If I am reading this right, a bone stock Witness Match will shoot 9x23 reliably?

Wow that is awesome, wanna mill another slide for a site like that? I just picked up a small frame yesterday.

Well I picked up the Tanfoglio last night and I have to say its an impressive feeling gun. Slide to frame fit is perfect, the trigger is amazing and I like it comes with steel sights, though it appears the front sight is going to require a gunsmith to change. I've had Glocks, M&Ps, XDs etc etc but I think I've drank the kool-aide now on CZ pattern guns. Couple more pics from the previous owner, I'll snap some of my own tonight.
