I was heavily into autox and rallyx for years, and from reading in the Zen forum on here I can tell you that many of the same feelings and state of mind happens during a high performance driving event. Your fastest runs often feel slow, you tend to almost drive on autopilot etc and feel as if the car is an extension of your body.

What an incredible forum! I came across this forum while searching for USPSA information for my area, and much to my surprise a Zen section! My wife and I started attending a (Mahayana) Buddhist center here in Raleigh last year. While we don't make it as much as we'd like to, we really enjoy the teachings of Buddhism, it just makes sense to me. Cheers!

Howdy all, wanted to introduce myself. Found this forum while searching for in on USPSA matches in my area. I've never participated in one, but am hoping to at some point this year. I've been shooting for about 5 years, and shot a few informal bullseye and silhouette matches back in MI several years ago.
