Go to Speed Beez. They have one that comes with the belt and an 8 post moon Clip holder. Works great

I think this is getting way past the original intent, which was, revolver shooters only want to compete in their own division against like minded shooters. If single stack was to be added to get "the numbers up" then ok, do it. But at least, do something. You, USPSA, cater to a lot of others, so what's different here?

Then people will say, "why does that ICORE and Rimfire Challenge Challenge club hate PCC and centerfire pistol shooters". Just saying..
I actually did think about the Rimfire Challenge but didn't want to limit myself to rimfre only.
People who shoot Rimfire Challenge know that it's Rimfire only and like it that way. Same with ICORE. People shoot it because it is for revolvers only.
-
Same here. That's why as of next season our Club will be an ICORE and Rimfire Challenge Club and we are letting USPSA Steel Challenge expire.
-
USPSA has never been pro revolver. Their excuse has always been that there are not enough shooters in the division. Maybe if they promoted it half as much as the others they would fit more participants.
-
You will see that SC caters to 4 divisions only. PCC; RIMFIRE; OPEN and CO. They really don't care about the rest if the classes.
-
Strange. Both of my rifles (Volquartsen and Kidd) shoot CCI Std. Velocity without issues.
-
I use the same ammo for practice and matches. CCI Std.Velocity in rhe rifle; same in the revolver and SK Yello Box in the Beretta Model 89 Target.

Does anyone know if there is a difference in CCI standard velocity ammunition that comes in the 50 round paper box as opposed the ammunition that comes in the 100 round plastic box? I've wondered why they offer both.
Seems that the only difference is price. Two boxes of 50 is usually cheaper than the box of 100.

I know it feels like all 3 of you were slighted, but the reality is there are not enough participants to make any difference.
The best way to change that is to be a good enabler like our "Token Revolver" guy Jason. He's let a ton of people borrow his wheel guns and gear to the point that there were 5 entries out of 45 at our last local SCSA match. Most of those folks wanted to do it because Jason showed them it was fun.
When you've got 300 people competing weekly in revolver rimfire you might be able to get some attention. And it's people with the mentality like yours that is a big part of the problem. First off, in our area, we have over 18 people shooting revolver. If you choose not to shoot one, great. But don't stop the ones that do. My suggestion to you is be a part of the solution or stay on the porch.

Looking at the RCSA rulebook, they only have 2 divisions, Open or Limited. No special revolver division there either.
I also see no form of classifications.
Local Clubs in my area have been separating the handguns class to auto and revolver irons or optical. It's done when there are enough revolver shooters. At least they make the attempt and acknowledge that it's really not a big deal to do.
-
And that's why a lot of us will be switching over to the Rim Challenge Matches at our Clubs. Again. Thanks for nothing USPSA.
-
I don't use the CCI Clean ammo. Doesn't work in my rifles consistently. Regular Std. Velocity works fine.
-
Shoot the crap in practice and switch to the good stuff come race day.

Check out the Wilson Combat EDC X9 Series. Comes in 4" and 5" models with 18 round mags and is less that $3500.00. I just bought the 4" cut for an RMR. Pretty sweet tool for the job.

I have one with the single stage 1.5lbs trigger and another with the 2 stage 1.0lbs trigger. I'll have them at the June 11 Steel Challenge Match in Bradford and you can try them out.

Hi Everyone,
Im currently running a BX trigger in my 10/22 TL and looking to upgrade. All signs point to a KIDD trigger. The question is for SC is the KIDD single stage drop in trigger the way to go; or can is the "Trigger Job" be "good enough"? I understand that this is a loaded question and you get what you pay for, but just on the fence about spending more then double for the drop in unit.
thanks for the help
Squirrel
Squirrel. Get the trigger from Kidd direct set to the way you want. Mine is single stage with 1.5lbs pull.
-
Yes. That's what I purchased (8) for BSC matches. Works great.

Dang....
I'll keep look over the minutes for all meetings but so far nothing on Rimfire. It was asked by another member to recognize Optic Revolver in USPSA but that's it as far as Revolver goes.

I'm having a hard time finding the January in-person BoD minutes.
Might you provide a link please?
I read the minutes from the BOD January meeting and other than you being appointed as the head of the Steel Challenge committee, there wasn't anything said about RFPI/RFPO Revolver.
-
Also, after a little over a year of gathering information to have this presented, I never once heard about any proposal to keep track of the Revolver shooters in RFPI or RFPO. Have you?
-
Dave. I did have a conversation Jake about this and it was at his suggestion that we proceed through the Area 7 Director with this proposal. I seems like there is a lack of communication again, on this subject within the Steel Challenge powers to be.
-
I use the Kidd top rail he supplies on the rifle with the low factory bases on all my RTS2 and RMR Red Dots.

The Steel Challenge App has all the info you need.
