  1. More piss poor planning BS and communication from 3GN. One day notice, in December, stupid.

I was thinking it was a little sudden too. But then I realized that 3GN is the only organization in action shooting that hosts, admins, sets up and tears down 15 pro/regional matches. USPSA, IPDA and outlaw 3-gun only works 1-2 by any one entity.

Also, dont forget that they are doing regular monthly matches, planning an All Shotgun Championship series, , setting up clinics with Pros, and trying to bring in new venues for us to all enjoy, so we don't shoot the same places every year, and then complain about no new scenery...

Maybe 1 day notice is a little close for some, but we all should know by now that from end of October thru December is when quite a few of the next season's matches are announced, and signed up for... most of us check here a couple of other places once a day, or every other day to see if there's news about our favorite matches, or announcements on new matches...

Charles and 3GunNation, please continue to bring fresh and exciting series and locations to our sport!

  2. Rippspeed,

Almost anything is possible if you want to put enough work into it... You need to research how the Magpul stock locates and engages the receiver... Along with a long fastener (purchased or homemade) needed, you may have to do some work or fabricate a locator plate to go from magpul stock to receiver...

I don't expect you'd buy them not knowing if they fit or not... If you can borrow them, and measure 'em up and compare to the Winchester furniture, you'd have a better idea if it was possible..

Do like I used to do... Take a pair of calipers to the gun shop, and make some sketches off one of theirs laying around

  3. Headworked, Roxie Mayor asked about loading twos/ duces, so that is what I was responding to. I was not implying that that is what I usually do. You have me very confused as to what you are asking. I have described all the ways I put ammo into an empty gun.

    Kurt,

I thought you were doing something odd and contorted with a weakhand grab of 2 shells, bolt locked back, where you were throwing a shell into the chamber, closing it, and stuffing second shell in underneath like normal... I misunderstood you, I suppose...

  4. I thought I read earlier where you were grabbing two weak-hand, and putting one in the open chamber, hitting button to close bolt, then stuffing the other in underneath like usual... I thought you were saying this was much easier to handle than having 4 in weak hand, and trying to drop one in the chamber...

  5. Kurt,

When you're dropping the first round into the chamber on an empty gun start, Im assuming its a closed bolt/none in tube start, port arms, right? Are you flipping the gun over on its side with chamber facing upwards? Im trying to envision how you are weak-hand stuffing two that fast...!

  6. Aristotle, give me a little more time... In a couple of weeks, I will have ironed out all the wrinkles, and also applied to be a vendor here on Enos... I will post some pics of the updated unit, along with contact info for those interested in one of these extended safeties. Thanks

  7. A friend had asked a few months ago for me to come up with a solution to the Vinci small safety issue... Been a busy summer with us having a new baby, but finally got a prototype cranked out and installed.. It's the first one off drawing board, and I already have some ideas on some changes I want to make, but it shows some promise. It is extended out the left side, and I will fab up a flag that extends past the receiver housing so it engages easily and rapidly without having to hunt for it...

    Pics to follow
