Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I bought the SPS 20 ronders (9mm), and I think they work just fine. I had to file the mag catch slot a bit, to make the fit better, but that's all They're cheap and seem to be good quality, eager to find out how they look after 10.000 rnds .. Fast Fumble, DK
  2. Hi all. Ralf K Jensen is retiring from competition (or so I read on DSF.DK). Why? He's one of the best IPSC shooters in europe, and has been for years, so I suppose there must be a good reason for stopping? I just hate to see a good thing come to an end... Fast Fumble, Denmark
  3. Argh... We'll be there next year. This year is a "learning experience" for us, and our focus har not been primarily on IPSC, but it will be from now on. The three Team Uckfups have various reasons for not showing up in Quickborn: Hitman: Doesn't really have a gun and rig yet (sigh) Rockeren: Still shoots his single stack 1911 and doesn't think his multiple reloads are fast enough yet. Fast Fumble: My 15 month old twins just started daycare, so they're constantly sick. I could have gone to Quickborn, but that would also implicate the initiation of divorce proceedings, so... Expect to se more of us in 2005 Fast Fumble, Denmark
  4. Okay, I really like my pistol the way it is, I just thought I might decrease wear by installing a buffer. Thanks for the info guys, I'll have to find something else to do with my beloved gun :-) Fast Fumble, Denmark
  5. Yeah, I know - but I already have a CED8000 (bought from Centerarms.dk), now I want a smaller and more ergonomic gadget for practice with my mates. The CED is a bit flimsy with it's flip-up display. Fast Fumble
  6. Skywalker: Contacting our host was my first idea, but he's only accepting PACT orders from inside the US, and I live slightly outside... RogerT: I've been searching my butt off for other resellers, but can't seem to find any. But I'll contact PACT directly, they might be able to solve my problem. Thanks for the input! Fast Fumble
  7. Hi all! I'd like to put a buffer in my STI Edge (9mm) with a recoilmaster. Now, I bought some buffers, but quite frankly, I can't figure out how to install them! Where does the buffer go, when I'm using a recoilmaster? Fast Fumble, Denmark.
  8. Hi! I'm shopping for a PACT Club Timer 3. MidwayUsa.com is selling it at $120. MidwayDanmarkis selling it at just under 4 times that price! I live in Denmark, but can shop anywhere in Europe. Please tell me where I can get the timer in Europe at a decent price! (as I'm too cheap to pay 4 times the value of the item) Fast Fumble, Denmark
  9. Welcome back! I'm from Denmark (the country with the "nothing bigger than 9mm" rule). I get 18 rounds in my IPSC legal (Standard/limited class) H&K USP Expert, and 18 in my stock STI mags with Grams follower kits, and 19 in my SPS high capacity mags. I shoot IPSC with a bunch of guys with all kinds of guns, the "worst" being an 8 round Springfield 1911. 8 rounds is just not good enough... My friend shooting a 16 round Pardini frequently has problems with mag capacity, in my opinion 18 rounds is minimum, anything less gives you a handicap. 19 is a delight, 20 is possible (a friend shoots a SVI with 20 round mags). But of course this is all 9mm.... Fast Fumble, Denmark
  10. Hey... DAMN good! That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks. Fast Fumble, DK
  11. To alle of you: Thanks for the advice, I'm ordering books now. (Althoug when I took up IPSC, I never thought it would mean I'd spend more time on books :-) Yep, more danes! We're currently 10 active IPSC shooters here in Aalborg, and more are on the way. Unfortunately for Team Uckfup our main priority this year is field target (due to a short financial crisis induced by the nescessity for IPSC gear and new guns), and we shoot field target (terræn) in our own backyard on the 2. and 3. of October, so Gothenburg is out - which is a damn shame, as it's so close by! Next season things will be different, so look for the Uckfup T-shirt at matches (probably near hotdog stands) Fast Fumble
  12. Hi all! I'm in my first season of IPSC shooting, so I'm in need og simple drills that will improve my basic skills. Basically I suck. Everything I do is slow, and I don't even double tap unless the target is really, really close. I've got all the gear, now what I need is practice, and lots of it. I practice with a handfull of buddies at the same (lack of) skill level. We set up 3-4 stages and shoot them like it was a match, but even though this is a lot of fun, I don't think it's a very efficient way of training. I'm thinking: "Someone must have been in my situation before!". Does anyone know of a website with basic drills for beginners? Can you point me in the right direction? I found a few drills while browsing old posts in here, but I was wondering if there was a shortcut to gathering enough drills to fill out the rest of the training sessions this year? 13. Damn, you guys are good! The knowledge accumulated in this forum is just awesome! I think I'll be going for the Grahms kit, hardchromed magbody and if nescessary a bit of mag-follower tuning. Shipping the gun to Grahms is not an option, as I live in Denmark :-) Thanks for the advice all! Fast Fumble, Denmark
  14. Hi all. I recently bought an STI Edge in 9mm, and I sincerely love the gun! However... My stainless steel mags get slightly rust stained. Nothing serious, just enough to annoy me. I do realize that stainless steel comes in different qualities, but still - rust on MY EDGE?!? Also, the mag followers annoy me. Occasionally the slide locks back with one round still left, and loading the first round frequently annoys me too, as the follower binds. I kinda decided to buy the Grahms mag follower kit, but before I do: Does anybody know of a perfect magazine for my 9mm Edge? Are the SPS magazines any better, and do they fit my STI? Yours truly, Fast Fumble (www.uckfup.dk)
  15. There is one more option, actually... You can start out with an add-on barrel weight. I'm not sure how practical this is with a widebody STI (Still waiting for my Edge), but I shoot a H&K USP Expert, and that's a seriously light gun! I added a 240 gram weight in the accessory rail, which makes it feel like a totally different gun. It's a good spot for the weight, as the gun cycles exactly like before, but is quite nose-heavy. And the weight can be removed in seconds, or replaced with a lighter one as your skills improve. Pistolskytte, Denmark
