Between the two that I've tried, the Overwatch and the HBI, the Overwatch has the ever so slightest reach reduction. Not really enough to notice for most people. It won't be worth the try. Does your friend have a tough time with trigger finger placement even with the small backstrap?

Yeah. I wear a medium sized glove so I have the small back-strap on my P10 and their hand is even smaller, they can reach the trigger but not without twisting the gun in their hand a bit.

The alternative is the PDP-F but with the current deals on the P10 it'd be a few hundred savings if a trigger could help.

  2. I just don't get it. It's not ideal for any comp division and if that price range of $1400-1700 is accurate you can get a P-01 or P-07 milled for a dot and a trigger upgrade and still have tons of money left over for more ammo.

I just don't know who this is for.

  3. Pretty much what the title says. I'm wondering if any of the after market triggers, the HBI, Apex, Overwatch, etc reduce the reach of the trigger face itself, either through geometry of the trigger face or by reducing the pre-travel.

I have no issues with this personally but I have a friend with small hands looking at the P10 so I thought I'd do a little research for them.

  4. I've been thinking about getting a metal trigger shoe for my CZ P10 and looking at options. I've heard good things about HBI and Cajun so I was looking at their website and I saw the only trigger for the P10 series that Cajun is selling is their "Aluminum Straight Trigger" which is not the one I can see in any of the online reviews.

That said I like the look of it so I'm  curious if anyone else has tried it in their gun.

Was that "someone" an NROI RO?

Some random dude that was practicing at my local range. I'd seen him at matches before. One of those types that has to talk to you while you're trying to practice.

They're wrong. It is legal in both idpa co and uspsa co.

I kind of figured but I thought I'd ask.

  6. Seeing all this praise makes me think I should give it another go. I coudln't get it to work in my gun.

Quesiton though is the Timney legal for USPSA Carry Optics? Someone at the range told me it wasn't.

  7. I ordered them just to try them out. The trigger is lighter but the reset is not as pronounced.

I went to the range today to try it out but I got 10 rounds and the trigger failed to reset on 3 of those 10 rounds so I don't know if it's their striker or connector but for me I don't really consider it a win. I know I should have maybe done more testing but the gun was 100% before and some dude kept bugging me the whole time I was there so I kind of didn't want to stick around at that point.

  8. I really like shooting a stage first for this reason. After doing the walk through my plan is formed and I am in the right head space and I do my best. I do watch other shooters and I'm not saying I can't learn from watching other shooters but even when watching someone gives me a nugget that I can actually use often what happens is my brain is now trying to decide what execution is best and that uncertainty in my head can sometimes lead to little hiccups.

Even if it is sub optimal compared to other plans I find I shoot my best when I am decisive and very deliberate about my movement.

  9. I'm thinking about getting a TLR7a now that I can use it in Carry Optics. That means I need a new holster. Right now there aren't too many companies that  make a OWB I can use so I'm looking at a Dara.

They make this ALQD thing which is interesting to me because it would be nice if I ever wanted to change guns or holsters later. My quesiton is about the mount it self, specifically this thing:

    https://www.daraholsters.com/alqd-mount/

Does anyone know what hole pattern it uses? I have a lot of Blade Tech and Comp Tac holsters already and if I could add one of those mounts to those holsters I would consider getting the mount for a few I want to use. If I can't well then it's slightly less appealing.

Anyone have some experience with the system?

I have never lost zero removing and reattaching the barrel. Hell, I haven't lost zero removing Holosun 510c and then putting it back on...

Honestly given it's a PCC and most of my shooting happens inside of 25 yards you're probably right, how much can the zero really shift at that distance. But I guess there is that doubt.

    Jesse,
That rail won’t work. I just tried it. The slot in the MI hand guard is too narrow. At first it looked like it would fit, with very minimal filing on the front bottom edge of the rail, but once I did that I was able to slide the guard on, but couldn’t tighten the hand guard because the slot bumps against the long edge of the rail preventing it from being securely fastened to the barrel.

    Well damn.

I've been thinking about it and if someone could make a spacer the right size I could find longer screws that were the correct length and thread pitch I could just use the EGW RMR mount.

Anyone have a 3d Printer or capable of machining something from delrin?

I could be wrong but, check EGW, I thought they had something to replace the rear site on a Ruger carbine for a red dot mount.

They do but it looks like it's too low to work with the MI handguard/rail.

    Maybe talk to this guy:

    createdbycay.com

I just ordered an extended charging handle and mag release from him. Will report back when the parts (and my recently acquired PC Charger) arrive

I emailed him; it looks like his rail might work out. Thanks for the tip.

  13. I just put a MI rail on my Ruger PC Carbine and it's fantastic. However I had to remove the rail piece I had replacing the rear sight which means right now I have my Holosun 407CO mounted to a rail section mounted to the M-Lok rail which is fine but I would prefer something a bit lower

Does anyone make a direct M-Lok RMR/Holosun Mount or a replacement for the rear sight that works with the MI rail?

Tandemkross makes something very close to what I want but I emailed them and the spacer they give isn't tall enough to clear the MI rail only the Ruger factory M-Lok rail.

I guess an alternative is if someone can make a spacer that I can mount the Tandemkross plate to that would work that might be the simplest option.

  14. With 9mm being harder to find than hens teeth I'm going to be using my  Mk4 22/45 to practice some drills so I'd like to get a holster for it, ideally something that is kydex and uses a paddle or a Tek-Lok attachment so I can swap holsters easily during a range session. The only holster I'm finding anywhere is a tactical solutions holster but it looks like they only have their belt attachment which isn't a quick on and off.
