Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Bk I gave it a shot and they came out great!
  2. Bk is that the concentrated turtle wash wax? Does it stop the cases from oxidizing later? I don't know if it's concentrated or regular, but yes it does stop the oxidization. Thanks bk I just ordered some off amazon to give it a try

  4. I am going to kick up the powder and see what happens. I'm shooting out of a briley which from my previous experience should be a little tighter than Schumann. Thanks for the help.
  5. Shado what's your recipe went to the range with the first 100 and 40% keyhole and 80% low right. Trial rec: OAL 1.145 Powder autocomp 7.1 grn Crimp .377 Any ideas what to change
  6. When I first started shooting USPSA I bought a tanfo in 45 because I liked the feel better. Bad decision on my part I now still have that first gun and bought a 40 a few months later to be more competitive. It is a big difference as half of the stages in a uspsa match fall in the single mag area of a 40. Obviously this is not all matches. I have now been shooting 40 for over two years and now prefer the feel of my 40 rounds to my 45. Between recoil springs and bullets my gun is faster and now feels more comfortable then any 45 I've shot. Needless to say I have dumped a lot more money into it. Good luck let me know if you want load data and recoil spring set up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Thanks guys I'll give me a try I will love saving the money and not dealing with the politics of Montana Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. What crimp do you use? I have a lee factory on the way because I've had lots of luck with it for 40.
  9. Is anyone running extreme Bullet Hollow Points in a Open gun? Any luck or do I need to stick to the hard plated?
  10. I find I shoot best with rehearsed cadence. When I slow down and try to break each shot individual with the perfect sight picture my groups open up. When you use a faster cadence your muscle memory tends to take over. The grouping shrinks with the pistol returning to the same point of aim with natural muscle memory. This does not always hold true on real accuracy you may have a tighter group when you go faster just not as close to the center. Ex: 5 shots in a close group on the bravo compaired to, 2 on head alpha and 3 all over on bravo Just my take.
  11. I have a 5" would my PF go up with the same load? I am definitely going to give this one a try! Thanks blaster
  12. Donnie is a great guy and those bullets are my go to for practice thanks for the tip Looks like I need to try out some N320! Do you guys see any difference on temp change? When it's hotter out my PF drops with titegroup and I have gotten really close to 165 in a very uncomfortable way. At a previous Ohio Classic I was 165.3 but was shooting 170 with same load a week before when it was 20 cooler outAnybody got anything on 165grn?
  13. I currently shoot a lot of USPSA in limited 40 major. My load is 180 grn with titegroup and I'm looking to try out some new loads using 165 and 200 to see what I like the best. Gun is a 40 custom from predator tactical with an sti frame and briley barrel. Anybody have load data I can try out?
  14. Try taping a pizza box or target to the first screen and cut a small triangle 2" tall by 2" wide point downwards in the middle. Aim to shoot through the center of the triangle and be at least 5 yards back, you should have no more problems with gas or shock wave. Make sure the triangle is in the middle or you will destroy your crono like so many do on a regular basis.
