  1. Hard to tell on screen but in the elimination challenge it looked like one shooter was at a disadvantage with the not so dark blue targets in front of a light blue background. The orange targets had a lot more contrast it seemed.

I noticed the same thing... When they showed the long distance shot of the range, the light blue targets didn't show up... They didn't look quite as bad close up, but a definite advantage for the other guy...

  2. I have always placed my rear sights in the center of the slide... Unfortunately, I always shoot a little to the left, also... I have always thought it was a problem with my shooting... This is the first time I have heard of other shooting left with Glocks... I don't know whether to feel good or bad...

  3. Glock?

They all need to have the rear sight drifted to shoot point of aim. So thats first. Also, try aiming at a specific spot on each target, not just the "plate" or "target" - something like a piece of tape or a splatter mark, a specific point, or center of A Zone.

Curious about how much sight drifting is common on Glocks... I've always centered my rear sight on the slide, but I have a problem shooting a bit to the left...

  4. All this banging... :(

You can purchase one of the aluminum punches with a nylon tip just like Dave uses in his video... Get it from Dawson Precision for $3.95...

While you're there, get one of his sight files for $39... That's fairly expensive for a file, but it has two flat sides and one side that cuts... stops you from digging trench in the bottom of the sight groove...

If you are going to install a lot of sights... A sight pusher is a worthwhile investment...

  5. Anyway that's my two cents. Hope that helps.

I don't think I can post links yet but let me try this: www(dot)predatortactical(dot)com/cart.php?m=knowledgebase_detail&id=5

Post into browser and replace (dot) with a... dot lol.

Top one is the target transition drill. Second one is the Drawing drill. hit "start" on the timer to start the dialogue giving you draw commands and the beep.

Thank you very much for posting those links!

    They are very helpful...

  6. Thanks...

I want to order some Wolff striker and striker safety block springs, so I think I'll just order a Wolf uncaptured guide rod and a few recoil springs at the same time...

I'd like to buy one of Jager's lightweight strikers, but no one seems to have any... As soon as some are available, I'll order one and get a guide rod and a 13# ISMI spring...

I'm planning to start with a Wolff 14# recoil spring, 4.5# striker spring, and a reduced power safety block spring... Thinking that the 4.5# striker spring will still work with a stock Glock striker...

I shoot USPSA Production with a Glock 34... Current ammunition is 9mm FMJ 147gr, 925fps velocity, with a power factor of 135.97...

  7. I'm planning to get a Jager uncaptured SS guide rod for my 3rd gen Glock 34... I'd like to be able to use both Wolff and ISMI recoil springs with the Jager rod... Is that an acceptable approach?

I've never seen anyone mention whether the sizes are the same or different... Just wanting a bit of clarification before I buy the guide rod and springs... I'd like to be able to try an ISMI 13# and a Wolf 14# recoil spring on the same Jager guide rod...

  8. Hi all... I've been reading messages here for quite a while and finally decided to join up...

I've been shooting for quite a while, but recently got bitten by the competition bug... I recently shot a Steel Challenge match and am getting started in USPSA matches... Both at our local club...

Going to use my trusty Glock 34... Planning to change over to a set of lighter springs...
