Thank you McGlock. I'm using 130 gr fmj bullets with 7 gr of longshot. OAL is 1.156" for an average 1265 fps. With this load I'm reaching major factor and the gun runs pretty flat.

Removing back plate and striker you should be able to remove the slide with no problems at all.

Last saturday I shoot my first match in Open division with my new Glock 17 and I'm more than happy with it!!! First, let me say that I'm from Argentina and this is an IPSC social match organized by my shooting club. 8 stages, about 170 rounds and a lot of fun with good friends! I experienced 2 light primers due to the reduced firing pin spring and the bad quality of the primers that we have access here.. They're way too hard. It was not easy for me to get use to the red dot sight, specially moving from close to far targets and I'm just getting familiar with the gun, since everything is different coming from production division... the grip, the balance, the sights, the way too long mags, etc. Anyways, I finished in 5ft place in the division at 67.64% competing against a lot of $5000 to $7000 custom STI's race guns... This was the only customized glock in the field!!! Here's a little video of the match, Hope you guys like it.

Yes she does!!! but for these kind of loads Bobby Carver recommended me 14#. I do switch to 10# if i´m shooting minor at 125 PF and it feels great

Thanks. I´m loading with Montana Gold 130 gr FMJ bullets with 7 gr of longshot. OAL 1.158¨ for a 165 PF with no signs of over pressure. The gun runs pretty flat... and loud!!

Hey everybody, I´m new here and I would like to introduce my new G17 open. So far, I put about 800 rounds thru it with no problems at all beside a couple of hiccups and I love it. Big change moving from production! It is kind of hard for me to modify my stance to find the dot instead of the regular sights, but I guess it´s just a matter of practice. The gun: G17 gen 3, KKM barrel, 5 port SJC comp, Carver Steel guide rod with 14 Lbs Wolff spring, SJC magwell, Carver slide racker, Carver mount with thumb rest, c-more STS, SJC Big button mag release and a complete Glockworx fullcrum trigger drop in kit. I´ll be shooting my first IPSC major match with it next saturday with it and I´m really exited about it!!
