How about overlays? They are also out of stock. I'm thinking of taking the RO class soon and figure I should start carrying a rule book and overlays.
Just take the RO class. They will give you a rule book and overlays, and teach you how to use them.
After that, you will get new overlays every time you pass your RO test.

Follow the yellow brick road, go to USPSA.org -> About USPSA -> USPSA FAQ -> first bullet point is "How does the classification system work?"
-
The rule pertaining to scores 5% under the minimum score for your current classification comes into play once you make C or better in a division.

We had a match just this past weekend that required kneeling and prone. I mention that because I recently had knee surgery and had difficulty in doing that. Yes, as you stated it took time. It would have been better for me if I had knee pads. My fault and no one elses fault. I plan to start packing knee pads which would have sped things up a hair as I'd have had to favor my knee a bit less.
I have no problem with prone shooting. Let me rephrase that. I'm no longer as spry or as fast as I was, today as a Senior shooter, than I was even 20 years ago. I'm one of those people you refer to as taking a bit more time to get down and then back up, knee or no knee issues. I have no problem with the requirement. Why? Well, because everything I do today, as compared to 20 years ago is done slower. I don't run as fast, and my eyes don't focus as fast. If I didn't want to do any of those things I'd be shooting Bullseye competition and not ask to have Action Pistol turned into a Bullseye match. After all, it IS called Action Pistol and not Sedentary Pistol. Prone is just another form of action.
Flex', you wouldn't know where that's found in the rules, would you? I know I've seen it but try to find it when it's needed.

Same dates as Area 7 .

Living in Parsippany, you have access to at least three very nice USPSA matches in
Pennsylvania. Monthly.
I'd try to get to a few of those ASAP - enjoy them.
Then, why not try the Big Area 8 match?
But, watch for DQ's - they're sticklers on ALL the rules/regs.
As ALL CRO/RO's should be.

Stage 12 is not a legal stage.
-
Your loads are too long. I've never been able to go beyond 1.250 before reliability begins to suffer.
-
I dealt directly with Tripp.
-
By rule 4.2.1, target types cannot be mixed in one stage.

For those of us who don't know, how about a street address and/or web site for MVSG?

Depleted Uranium is pretty heavy.

Indiana 400 if it is held this year.
I had a great time last year and it is back on my bucket list.

Does anyone know if Dillon makes a stand alone decapping tool and, if not, what tool from what manufacturer would you recommend?
I made mine from a Dillon 9mm sizing die.
Unscrew the decaping pin assembly and tap out the resizing ring.

I use Tripp Cobra mags and they work just fine for me (both 8-round and 10-round).
I have also used McCormack mags and they work flawlessly as well.
I have not had very good luck with Wilson mags.
I use a 14 pound recoil spring, but have gone as low as 12 pounds. The 12 pound didn't work quite as well for me.

Welcome to USPSA.
Although you're not close enough for me to make your matches, I am heartened when new people/clubs join the sport.
I wish you the best of luck for your inaugural year.

When can I load my gun? When and where can I load my mags? Where can I draw my gun? Do I have to shoot at the steel until I run out of ammo? How many mags do I need? What kind of holster do I need?
You can only load your gun AFTER the RO gives you the command to "Make Ready".
You can load your mags anywhere EXCEPT at the Safe Table.
You only can draw your gun at the Safe Table or when it is your turn at the line, after the command to "Make Ready".
You do NOT have to shoot at steel until you run out of ammo.
You need enough mags to complete a 32 round course of fire.
You need any kind of STRONG SIDE, OWB you want/can afford.

The body of the offending mag may be bulged, especially near the feed lips.
If that is the case, disassemble the mag then gently tap the mag body with a brass hammer till flat.
Could also be one more long grip screws.

In many cases, that is a choice they made to avoid using their weak hand or shoulder. If you think it is unsafe, make it a prohibited action.I have asked this same question concerning this topic. How many videos have you seen where to make the shot, the shooter is leaning to the extent of almost falling out of the shooting box? Anytime a shooter must contort to such an degree that they are off balance, this is an unsafe condition .
Granted, you don't want every shot to be straight forward, but I have seen courses where the competitor was leaning out on one leg, actually falling out while the shot was fired. Is this really necessary?
You cannot declare something a "prohibited action" until someone does it.

Dates for Area 7 are July 10 - 12 2015. Match is currently sold out, gone to wait list.

I am planning a trip from NH to include this match.
Is there a Match website?
