  1. Just installed the polished kit from two brothers and can't wait to actually shoot it. one awesome feeling trigger already have the flat face FSS and the ram installed. super smooth and crisp
  2. Have to give a thanks to everyone here and also David and Scott at Cajun. I now understand Istone, thanks I am gonna put together a small spare parts and spring kit. hope to see you all at the range in spring
  3. Rowdy, These are for my girlfriend and her friend to shoot so I will order a set of the VZ's also to let them try. Does the extractor need to be fitted like a 2011 extractor or are these drop in like my M&P?
  4. I will have to message Ben then, part of going with springers is they come in raw AL and the girls want them anodized purple. Edit. Just read description on Ben's sight and says they don't fit box with sp-01 Mags. Thanks for the help anyways
  5. Thanks guys. I have "MY" Limited rig and have yet to get the holster and pouches but was gonna order the BOSS holster and the ghost 360 pouches. have squib rods already, Knock on wood I have yet to have a lapse of concentration while loading but know it is just a matter of time. Do the extractor and firing pin need to be fitted or is this something I can have one of in the bag for both guns and if one needs it just swap the new one in?
  6. Just ordered 2 CZ SP-01's from CajunGunworks. Besides a belt, Holster and 5 mag pouches what else do I need to get so the girls are all set up to play in production? Dave said they are all set up with the pro package for production and I am setup to reload 9mm on my 650 just need to work up a load once I get the guns. Looking for how many magazines I need to have for each. I am thinking 8 each should be sufficient all with springerprecision ez on/off base pads, thin AL grips and grip tape. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.
  7. 20??? I don't know if it's quite 20 yet, seems like it though. Adam has an addiction... Sounds like he needs a Cheely punch card. Buy 20 get the 21st free....That would be awesome. A Cheely rewards card! What's in your wallet? Nothing but dust. Matt has it all.
  8. I have been shooting Bayou bullets just like the black color better. Would kill if someone came out with a purple coating.
  9. Apendix D4 Rule 22.2 clear states, "Grips – any addition or removal of material which changes the factory profile or adds function such as beavertail or thumb rest." I believe the key word is profile. The definition of Profile is, "an outline of something as seen from one side." the backstraps have the same profile in different sizes where as the back of the gun changes profile without the backstrap in place. I'm sure Director NROI would help you if need be. email him at below address got back to me in less than 24 hours. Troy McManus Director National Range Officer Institute Email: DNROI@uspsa.org
  10. Should have posted this here earlier. The girls love the feel of the CZ SP-01 so that is the route w they are going. As for ammo I will just reload its cheaper than buying already loaded ammo and I know exactly what goes into each case. I want to thank everyone for the help. Hope to see you all at the range.
  11. Sarge, I was airing my frustrations but i do get that they are approved with the back straps. I started this just to let everyone know what official reply I received. At least in my house the girls are happy, and I am just waiting for Mr. Cheely to finish my build. (2 days down 178 or so to go) Shug
  12. I'm jerking your chain. I am annoyed by the lack of consistency USPSA seems to have between grips being ok, but not the back strap of the grip and the very vague language used. If the rues say you can change grips then we should be able to change the grip. It is a pain to have to find the correct interpretation of a rule so as not to be playing with an illegal gun. It would be nice to have clear cut rules and why is grip reduction such a big deal, especially when so many firearms today are built to large for some women to grip. I am excited that my girl and her friend wants to learn this game and play with the big boys. They are hell to play games with cause they hate to loss. Fortunately they tried the grip on an SP-01 and found it very comfortable so now I can go that route with ultra thin grips and grip tape and we should be all good.
  13. is there a list of approved grip panels per model that I have missed? How is this different than a gen4 Glock without a backstrap I would be happier if production stood for, "pull it from the box, change the sights and shoot the MOFO." I only even asked as the girls both have small hands and want something more comfortable to shot. gonna look around and have them shoot everything i can find till they find something they like. You would have it so changing back straps or grip panels at all would be illegal? so on guns like the M+P whatever size was installed at the factory would be how you had to run it? yup
  14. Anyone have any data or at least anyone tried N340 instead of 320?
  15. does anyone know if Black's is coming out with a 180 no lube groove coated bullet? I know everyone else that has them and am trying them just like the quality of blacks that i am trying but would like no lube groove. thanks in advance
  16. They are both very competitive. I am not about to tell them that they should play in limited minor cause they don;t wanna shot a .40 at major power.

  18. Fireshooter I would suggest checking out some Smiths websites and decide whose work you like the look of. I started talking to Matt Cheely in June of this year and just put my deposit down a couple days ago. I looked at all the reviews of various gunsmiths on here then chose whose work i like the look of that had a good reputation and placed my order. Take your time and decide exactly what you want built as it is a lot of cash to drop but so worth it. Hope you find who you want and shot it all you can.
  19. I can't find the thread discussing this that I read earlier. As I am trying to help my girlfriend and her friend start shooting production I asked DNROI and here is his reply. (email copy and pasted) Hope this helps some people out with clarifying the rule. " Good evening, Sheldon. Unfortunately, removing the grip panel/backstrap component on the M&P Pro pistol changes the factory profile of the pistol, and is not allowed. Interchanging the grip panels is fine, but removing them will render the pistol illegal for Production division. You quoted the correct section number from Appendix D4, #22.2. Regards, Troy "
  20. Canuck 223 Thanks for the info but I am not seeing the X-caliber on the approved production list. thanks for the heads up if I can find one for them to try I will.
  21. I just received a reply from DNROI about removing the back strap from an M&P and its legality in production without it. here is the reply copy and pasted from my email. "Good evening, Sheldon.
