That last stage looked like too much fun -
I change nothing

I'm surprised they shot so many. Usually the gun has tons of reliability issues when you do this

So positive, yet unwilling to test the variables.I would bet my life on it not being me. That said, what are the things that I might be doing in the loading process that would cause a flyer?
Shooter.
Gun.
Ammo.
If you're positive it's not shooter. Then test other ammo in the gun. Eliminate the gun as a suspect, or prove the gun is the issue.
Shoot the ammo in another gun. Eliminate the ammo as a suspect, or prove the ammo is the issue.
The concept is simple. Change one thing at a time until you find the issue

Your answer is at 0:40 in that video. Control the recoil.
You that he means, control the recoil as you shoot, not as you load

If the bullet isn't tumbling is probably human error. Even my stock guns will put 10 rounds into a ragged hole at 10 yards with factory junk ammo.
Anything outside of that is usually me. I think your answer will come from two things. Have another person try to repeat the problem or shoot from a rest. Buy a box of factory ammo, try to shoot the same group. Shoot this ammo through another gun and try to replicate the problem. This will help you determine if it's shooter or gun or ammo.

I was able to hit consistent 1.5-1.6s draws. Plenty of room to improve, but I will say that taking my focus off of "hitting my cues" certainly made an improvement

I think I'm going to try this today.
I use 3 yards and a 6" circle as my metric. I've been in the 1.8s range, and I'm really hoping to be able to get down below 1.5s. Maybe I'll incorporate this tip into my training and see if it helps me

The vihtavouri website has some load data available. A quick Google search will take you right to it.
Most people are loading "off the books" as far as 40 major is concerned. So many people share their load info, you can get a good idea of where to start.
As with any data I find online, I would verify as many sources as possible. Find a good average of what others are running. Then reduce 0.5-1.0gr and work until you see results you want or pressure signs

You seem to be a touch higher than I've seen. 4.7-4.8gr with xtreme 180s in a Glock 35 seems to be the number I see popping up
Haven't worked up a load for myself though

I hate falling in love with $35/lb powder. But it meters better and has less horror stories than Clay's.
Off to the bench!

I've been shooting n320 for 9mm loads for a little while now. Now I'm curious to try it for some 180gr 40s&w loads.
An concerns making major at Glock COLs? I'm shooting a Glock 22

Do any of the light striker springs work with primers other than federal? Due to the shortage, I have some cci and with my glockworx spring they won't go off. But I can't find what the weight of that spring is. Was thinking of going with a wolf #4 but I'm not sure if it will be any heavier than the zev tech onr

Well, I got my G35 Gen4 back from Glock today with a new frame. I'm very pleased with Glock's solution to the problem. It's interesting that they returned my aftermarket springs and connector in a Ziploc bag, but replaced the Gen3 trigger bar I had in the pistol with another Gen3 trigger bar. I'm looking forward to shooting tomorrow morning at Bud's Indoor Range. I'll start again with factory ammo and see what happens.
For future reference, what did you tell them happened that they just replaced it?

The lemishine isn't necessary. Unless you want your brass to look like the pictures. It shines, and actually does get the brass a bit cleaner, but your brass will be pretty clean even without it.
-
With all that said, perhaps it's not a loading issue and the gun was slightly out of battery? I'm thinking that or bad casing.
-
Ok. I've been reloading for about a year w a Pro 1000(cowboy T videos and lee thread on this forum made it work). I start a reloading session with weighing of 10 charges and checking every 15-20 charges after that. If I stop for any reason, I re weigh 10...
I've been using Titegroup for 40 under 180gr Berry's FP and use Lee FCD on every round. I also measure OAL of 10 when I start and randomly measure during reloading.
My intent was to develop a near minor load in order to make the gun, G35, run nice and soft in production. I've been using 4.3g, 1.135OAL, with success. Not a minor load, chrono approx 875-900 FPS, but it runs the new gun well without having to change recoil spring. I've used this recipe 3 different times with no malfunctions and no leading of the bore. Additionally, I plunk tested every round and discarded for disassembly anything that doesn't drop in easily.
Are you shooting lead or plated? Most Berry's Bullets are plated, but you mention leading, which is a non-concern with plated bullets

I love the case lube, that's why I was hoping to like this stuff too. Might just end up on the load bench, instead of on my new Springfield Loaded
-
Anybody used this stuff? The store I work at picked some up and I got a sample of it. Lubed up my glock, feels pretty slick, but definitely not oily. I found someone online saying Hornady recommended this stuff be re-applied after 40 rounds, which is absolutely ridiculous. I've used some of the other "wonderlubes" before, froglube for example. It seemed to work okay, but the lack of any real information and the insane claims have led me to give the rest of it away. Always head back to CLP or automotive products for my guns. Anyways, I was really hoping this Hornady dry-lube would be good to go, and now I'm just looking for anyone who might be using it with good results.

I've started a physical fitness schedule to train for IDPA. Just want to see if there's anything I should add to it. For now, I've been working on shoulder and arm strength. I know I need something for grip and wrists, but I'm not sure what exercises I should be doing to target those areas. Also, not doing much for legs, except running. Doing 3 sets of 12 on the weight exercises. So here's what I have:
Run 1 mile
Lat Pulls
Military Press
Seated Row
Pec Fly
Rear Deltoids
Incline Press
Tricepts
Crunches
Leg Lifts
Cross-Crunches
Let me know if there's anything I should add or cut, and what I can do about the wrists, and grip.
Thanks, Josh.

OPEN GLOCKS

Looks like more of the carver users than anything else, has anyone shot the Carver and compared it to SJC? I've been looking into both.
Does having a Carver build with some SJC parts count, lol?
I failed, I was referencing the comps

Didn't know where this belongs, so I put it here.
I sent a Glock frame to Taran to be stippled a couple weeks ago, and I'm curious what the expected turn around time would be.
Normally, I wouldn't be concerned, and if I was, I would have asked before I sent it. However, between the time I sent it and now, I found out from my work that they'll be relocating me to WA, and the return address I provided to TTI is of course my current address.
I sent them an email last Thursday and haven't heard back yet. There's still a few weeks to get everything resolved, and I can call them if I don't hear back in a couple days. I was just wondering what kind of turn around times other people were getting, so I can gauge how critical this issue could be.
