Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I noticed that SSS has two different tungsten guide rods. One seems to weigh a little more than the other. Are you using the lighter or heavier tungsten guide rod?
  2. How anyone tried to install the Apex forward set sear kit, but leave the production trigger on it? I would like to see if it's possible to get the benefits of the trigger kit while staying in production class.
  3. The part number for the M&P 9 Pro slide is 380700000
  4. I'm not sure about the original poster, but for people stuck in Massachusetts the Pro and 9L aren't on our approved roster and you can't purchase them new. You can only get them from someone who moved into the state with them and a selling them in a face to face sale. That's right. I originally asked this question because I live in MA and I can't purchase a factory M&P9L or Pro, so I wanted to know if I could build one off a 4.25" version. Thanks everyone for their input. I actually spoke with S&W and ordered a bare slide for the M&P 9 Pro. They told me 4-6 weeks, but they're selling them. It stinks that I live in MA and have to go this route to get what I want. That's cool that you're able to get one direct. Would you care to share what they are charging you for the bare long slide? I would like to know myself what one would cost. The Bare slide for the M&P9 Pro was $173.00. They told me that they only sell the bare slide and not the entire slide assembly.

  6. I'm looking to take my M&P9 4.25" and converting it into an M&P9L or Pro Series with a 5" barrel for competition. Has anyone done this before? Can I just pick up a Pro series 5" slide assembly and barrel and put it onto my frame for the M&P9? Will it fit? Just from looking at some pictures the frames look like the same. Also, who makes the best aftermarket barrels for the M&P? I've heard of KKM and Storm Lake. Thank you.
  7. I'm going to throw it on the belt and see how the butt of the gun sits in relation to the belt. I'll try adjusting the cant a little if it's close and see how it feels. It looks as though as long as the butt of the gun breaks the top of the belt I should be good. Thanks.
  8. I wasn't sure how that was applied because it doesn't specify a division and I'm pretty sure the I've seen them being used in other divisions.
  9. Wanted to know if using a 2" drop on your holster would be within the rules for the production division? Looked through the USPSA rules and all I could find was the 2" from the inside belt rule and no further forward than your hip bone. I wanted to install the Safariland 2" drop adapter on my holster, but I'm not sure if it's allowed in competition in the production division. Thanks.
