Rob, Sound great! When the final results come out I'll send them to you. I know of at least one person missing from the aggregate totals. In fact. I'll send you what I have now. That way more people can check the results to make sure everyone's there. Louie, Tell Guy I have already emailed our stats person about his situation. Mike

Hi Guys, Just got home from the range. The stages look great. Jeff Curts has done it again. I strongly encourage anyone thinking about the ELS 3-gun to pack your bags and get down here. I can give you a estimate on the round count. These, of course, will be the minimum numbers you should pack (not including re-shoots). Pistol - 100 rounds Rifle - 100 rounds (3 flashers at 175 yards on one of the stages) Shotgun - 50 Shot - 1 stage is 19 rounds the other is a timed stage - 25 Slugs - 1 stage 23 rounds, 8 paper (2 swingers) and 7 steel The weather is going to be great the whole weekend (for the first time in 10 years). You will regret missing this. Pistol only shooters - The 10:45 squad on Saturday is for our monthly match. If you like a challenge you need to be here. See ya on the range DVC Mike

Absolutely ! Saturday is Pistol, Shotgun, Rifle. Sunday is Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun Don't ask me why the order isn't the same for both days. Something's even I don't ask about. Anyway, most of us are pretty wiped out from running the Area 7 match last month. So we are keeping things simple this year. And, I said simple not boring. Come on down it will be fun.

2006 - Area 7 Championship

Hey Steve, I heard your run. I was working the chony for the whole weekend right next to stage 9. There was only one run, I remember hearing, where you'd thought someone was shooting full auto. Anyway, it was great meeting you. Should you get bored next weekend (7-1), the GCL folks have there annual Firecracker match just up the road a ways from Rochester Brooks. I believe it's 8 stages and Jeff Curts aways makes it interesting. Mike -

I'm glad to hear everyone had a good time. I received many compliments on our facilities from the shooters passing through Chono. And, it was great meeting all of you. As Rich stated we are not scheduled to host the match in 2007. I almost wish we were as the compliments tend to pump me up. However, All the bruises, swollen joints, and pain tell me that two years in a row was enough. The good news is that Rochester Brooks will be hosting the Eastern Lakes Section Match in 2007. Giving all of you the chance to come back next year to what we hope to be another great time in the Blistering Heat, Freezing Cold, or what ever else mother nature throws our way. BTW the average temperature for the match over the last two years was about 73 degrees (the hard way). Thanks for coming Mike -

Our previous match hotel decided to undergo renovations without telling us that would be a problem for the Area 7 Match and the GM at that hotel has left recently so we had to develop new arrangements. Below is the first hotel that we have signed up and I will be working with several others but rooms are scarce due to several events in Rochester that weekend. They are ready to proceed and take reservations now so follow the instructions below and you will be good to go. The Fairfield Inn-South will be sending me more data in a day or two and I will provide that as it becomes available. · Fairfield Inn - South · 4695 W. Henrietta Rd. · Henrietta, New York 14467 USA · Phone: 1-585-334-3350 · Fax: 1-585-334-2295 · Sales: 1-585-334-3350 · Sales Fax: 1-585-334-2295 · You must tell the reservation desk: that you are part of the Area 7 Championship to get the room rate and a reserved room for this event. This hotel has blocked off 25 rooms for both Friday and Saturday nights. http://marriott.com/property/propertypage/ROCFI Rates are: $99.00 per night – Hotel is about 10-15 minutes from the range with plenty of food and shopping nearby. More details will follow soon. There is a large convention in town the same weekend as The Area 7 Championship and hotel rooms are going fast so get your hotels locked up as soon as you can! -
