If you are using the gun for personal protection and will be carrying it on your person you need to keep the gun stock.

I have been using Tripp Research 40S&W/10mm 10 Round Magazine that I purchased from Dawson's. They have worked very in my STI Trojan .40 cal. I have been running a 180gr Black Bullet with a 1.180 C.O.L. No problems at all. They will also fit in an IDPA box.

On my Glock 34 I put in a ZEV Tech Heavy Trigger Spring, ZEV Tech Firing Pin Spring, then I polished the trigger, connector, and firing pin safety plunger with Flitz. I got the trigger pull close to 4lbs.

I have a ZEV skeletonized stainless striker and ZEV standard power striker spring on all my competition Glocks. I do not want any misfires.

I have been shooting my Glock 34 in IDPA SSP division for 4 years and have always used a 13lb ISMI spring.
-
I would say shoot what you have, but the Glock 34 is a great gun for SSP division.

I like my JP LRP-07 in .308. Excellent rifle.

I have a JP LRP.07 in .308 and it puts holes in holes. It is my favorite rifle to shoot.

For ESP division I have used several handguns for competition. I have tried STI Trojan, STI Eagle, Glock 34, Wilson Combat CQB, but I am most happy with my current ESP 9mm which is an STI USPSA 9mm.

I have 4 Storm Lake barrel and I think they are great barrels. The only one I had any problems with was the .40 cal. for my Glock 35. I needed to ream the chamber a little for some of my reloads to fit. Other than that they work great.

I have shot IDPA for about 3 years and just started shooting USPSA this year. This weekend I will be shooting my first USPSA sanctioned event. I started out shooting a Glock 35 that I had setup very well, but thought I was missing something buy not having a super race gun. I purchased an STI Edge and have not been able to shot it as well as my Glock 35. I can get a better grip on my Glock. This weekend I will be shooting my Glock 35, but I am not giving up on the Edge yet.

I have a Wilson Combat 3-Gun trigger in my AR-15 and it has great. I have a Geissele trigger in my AR-10 that has worked very well also.

I would buy the .40 cal. I first purchased a 1911 in 9mm not thinking I would ever shoot USPSA. I currently have a STI Trojan chromed in .40 that I am beginning to shoot more in ESP than the 9mm.

I use a Garrett Silent Thunder for all my 1911's I use in competition and the holster works great. I plan to order another one in the future.
-
I installed the Wilson Combat Tactical Trigger Unit, 3-Gun, Semi-Auto. The trigger is easy to install and works very well.
-
I was wanting to order one myself. I don't no if I can wait a year.

I competed in an IDPA sectioned match last weekend and received a procedural for cover. The cover call was not done by the Safety Officer, but was done by the score keeper. I am not the only competitor this happened to during the match. Is it legal for the score keeper in a match to make these calls?

On my Glock 34 I have been running a Warren Tactical Sevigny Rear with a .215 tall fiber optic front sight that I purchased at Dawson. This combination has worked very well for me.
-
I have been using a 12lb in my STI Edge with a shock buff and it has worked great for me.

Check with Brownells. There is a 14 lb VAQUERO/BLACKHAWK REDUCED POWER HAMMER SPRING, Part #969-000-197WB

I have only missed two matches at Manchester in the last three years. I have enjoyed every match I have shot there. Will be there this weekend. Thank you Kurt.
