I just got my Swampfox Arrowhead 1-10 yesterday, and it is nice.  The horseshoe part of the reticle is about twice as large as the 65 moa donut of a Holosun.  The clicks of the turrets are positive and audible, and they lock down securely.  I mounted it on an AR, and on 1X, keeping both eyes open is easy, and the outline of the scope tube seems to disappear.  At 10x, the eye box is smaller, but it's not bad. Starting with the buttstock on my belt and the scope on 10x, I was able to should the rifle and find my "target" quickly.  I haven't gotten to the range yet, but my initial impressions are really good!

Even my Razor at 6 has a tighter eye box, as power goes up the eye box gets tighter and tighter. I like my Tomahawk and am glad Swampfox listened to us on the Arrowhead.

  2. The Swampfox Arrowhead has some of the best glass for it’s price range, the reticle is also day light bright which is very rare in it’s price range. One other feature of the Arrowhead is the exposed turrets is they are locking, Swampfox listened to their customers after their first LPVO the Tomahawk didn’t so they would get moved during a match.

The so called modularity of SIG guns has been a huge disappointment.  I've purchased 2 sig 320's of different flavors and neither has other than the medium grip modules available. I won't purchase another.  I wish SIG would produce the parts for the guns they have instead of changing/reinventing/introducing new  things every month.  And why in the world would you build a slide that will take everyone's optics and not your own?

    Holy Necropost batman!

:DI designed the original BOSS holster hanger in 2013 (with testing and input from Stoeger).  Turned out to be way more popular than I expected.

The real BOSS looks nice, not like the knockoffs you see that look like they were hacked out with a chain saw.

  5. We have a few shooters that have had their kids around 6-7 shoot Steel Challenge. It is worked out with the R.O. that the parent brings their son/daughter up and uncases the firearm and helps with the reload, etc. We run them at that age more for fun than score. I personally like the idea both for helping new shooters join the sport, but also for dad-daughter/son bonding.

I would imagine that he means installing an Apex trigger kit nullifies the Legions trigger advantage.

The barrel lock up is better with the Legion. M&P's have sloppy lock up, the Apex barrel makes the M&P shoot decent groups. So you are just shy of $400 from the Apex flat trigger and the Apex barrel plus sights, to get it as good as a Legion, and then you still don't have the heavier grip.

I shot M&P's for a while and still my carry gun is a full size M&P i picked up cheap.

  7. I have both M&P 5" Pros in both 1.0 and 2.0, I also bought a few weeks ago a P320 X-Five. The Legion if you like the grip has a better trigger than either of my M&P's. The Legion has probably the best striker fired gun trigger out of the box. Also the Legion now is set up to mount RMR pattern optics along with the Sig Romeo 1. Even the M&P CORES require adapter plates.

On The Legion if you don't like the grip you can really easily change the grip, or send off for grip mods.

To make a M&P close to a P320 Legion you would need an Apex trigger and barrel plus Dawson sights if not installing optics.

Yeah. I have a video out there of it doing decapping and swaging. It's when I first got it, and did't have the case-feeder on it yet, and was still messing with the shuttle. I have another thread when I publish my times decapping when I got it dialed in. Swaging is at about the 45 sec mark.

Have you tried 223 on it?

    115gr, 125gr Precision Delta and 125grZeros.

Thanks, I mostly load 147 gr Blue Bullets, but did just load up a bunch of Montana Gold 125 JHP I had laying around.

Either one more or less reliable under not great conditions (ie wet, dirty, muddy)

I have a 1301, one of the first ones. I hardly ever tear it down and clean it, mostly just run some CLP on the bolt and have no problems with the gun not running. I don't shoot real crap loads like Wal-mart bulk loads, but it runs great with most shotgun ammo.

I have been to matches that the range is pretty dusty and the M2 and Versamax guys have to teardown and clean there guns.
