  1. I would take a hard look at the redding br powder measures. An RCBS chargemaster is not a powder measure, it weighs out each charge on a digital scale. A powder measure dispenses a set volume of powder that can go straight into your case or into a measuring pan. My powder measure does not work well with the rifle powders I use so I typically set it very close, within .2 and then trickle the rest on my scale.

  2. I don't own both but as far as shifting your grip, I used to have that problem with mine. It really helped me to go to the large backstrap and add grip texturing of some kind, now I never have to readjust my grip. As far as riding the slide lock, I would think the pistol gear slide lock would be much more susceptible to this than the stock slide stop....

  3. This is a link to the competition spring, its under xdm springs http://shop.powderriverprecision.net/product.sc?productId=82&categoryId=15

I ordered their best trigger kit (ultimate match, I believe) and it came with the reduced weight spring, not the competition, but at the time I didn't even see the competition spring on their site. I think it's a relatively new addition, and it really made my trigger exactly what I wanted.

  4. Powder river actually is now offering 2 different lightened trigger springs. The reduced weight, and the newer competition trigger spring. I recently put that competition trigger spring in my gun and it is a huge difference over the lightened trigger spring, at least a pound. I've also got all the Ti components installed and I couldn't ask for a better trigger. I also have the lightened mag release spring which I am putting off installing, even though after reinstalling the factory one it probably shouldn't be too bad.

  5. My guess is these new softer primers are not in circulation yet, even though wideners claims they have them. Also if you look on cci's page they have the same statement I posted earlier with a picture of what i'm assuming is the new box.... Still waiting to hear back from them...

  6. A single stage with the quick change bushings is very nice to have, wether or not you have a dillon. I think its great to start on a single stage.

Also if money is a factor at all I would suggest take a look at the lee breech lock challenger kit, it's a good little press, I've had mine for many years now. You might want to get a couple different accessories like a digital scale, tumbler etc...

  7. Basically man just start off with some cardio 3 times a week and don't over do it, just get your heart rate up and sweat a good 30 mins and once you get more comfortable with it you can start increasing the intensity. I wouldn't even worry about weight lifting if your main goal is loosing weight. Like others have said diet is huge here, don't under eat. There is nothing wrong with indulging in something "unhealthy" occasionally. Just try to have nice well balanced meals and try to cut out all the unnecessary crap, like sodas etc....

You don't sound extremely overweight at all, but personally I love to eat, so sometimes I ask myself am I hungry or still hungry or am I just eating for the hell of it. Ultimately you would want to have 6 small meals a day but this is almost impossible for most people to stick to, so if you can just do a healthy breakfast, lunch, and dinner you will be set. Watch your portions as well.

  8. I like nice clean shiny brass myself, I personally deprime all the cases then clean in an ultrasonic cleaner for 16 minutes and the case looks brand new. There is probably no real noticeable difference to the shooter, but it does keep your press a lot cleaner. This also gives me another opportunity to make sure my brass is defect free and make sure a brass didn't sneak through that I didn't want to get in.

  9. I run a 124gr berry's RN

    4.6gr 7625

1.15 OAL, I tried shorter OAL and this is what worked well for me

I will occasionally run 4.5gr but I really can't tell a difference, I don't have chrono info on this load yet. I have seen some other peoples chrono info with 4.6 and if I recall right its about 130-133 pf, but again there are a lot of variables.

  10. I would recommend anyone that hasn't tried it, try the imr sr7625. I have some n320 but I've only probably shot about 50 rounds or so of it. I actually shot one stage with n320 and the rest with 7625 at our last local match and I honestly couldn't tell any difference. I'm probably going to hit the range sometime this week and do a more scientific side by side comparison. My first impression was, I should just stick with 7625 :)

  11. Man I shot my first match every with berrys 124gr rn with either 5.4 or 5.6 of pp and it worked just fine for me, but I knew it wasnt the ideal powder. I had no idea how much less muzzle flip I could get outta my gun by just switching powders. Now i've just been on a constant pursuit, or I should say I just got back and forth between a couple or few powders.
