  1. We allow changing of choke tubes/oiling at user discretion minding safe firearms handling procedures. With that being said, we don't have any guys that change chokes between stages. Our format is very straightforward with no difficult to engage targets that require tighter choke tubes. You can walk to every bay within a few seconds. We have racks where competitors could also change chokes.

  2. At the local match I shoot at, we don't allow guns to be loaded unless the competitor is on the line ready to shoot. When they step into the shooting box they can pre-load all firearms. It takes a little more time but it seems as if it is the safest way for us to do things, given the size of our range, the orientation of our range and the number of shooters at every shoot.

  3. I have to say that if you can shoot your guns and not miss, the magazine capacity is a minute point. Sure reloading less times equates to less time on the clock but it isn't enough to quantify a new rule set.

The pros are pros because they can shoot well not because of what length magazines they run. If you are a new shooter and expect handicapping a better shooter by limiting his magazine length will somehow equal the playing field, you are mistaken.

  4. I got one. No mag extension, its a 6+1, came with one choke, an IC. Sending it back until they get their shit together. It's nice and light and may be good. Don't compare it to Roberto's custom made gun. I hate gun business bullshit.

No way to import it with extensions on.

  5. The Smith & Wesson Sport is what I bought(I paid around 650 otd but this was prior to the buying craze that has recently taken place). I have a cheap scope on it. I put a low profile gas block, free float tube, and a Miculek comp on it. The only thing I would change right now is a better scope but the one I have isn't holding me back.

  6. I shoot a 930 that I bought as a used gun. It was in less than perfect condition when I bought it. I have shot nearly 1000 rounds from Remington, Federal, and Kent. It has only burped twice(I presume it was hard primers as it was Federal Value-Pack ammo, dented primers but not ignited). This includes high velocity steel shot from hunting waterfowl, to as light of a load as I can find. It won't win any beauty contests, but it has been super reliable for me.

I also bought a Benelli M1S90. I only bought it because it had a 21" barrel for maneuverability. If you look hard, Benelli's can be had for a good price and adding an extension gets you into the game.
