Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. A new A5? The safety is pretty easy to switch. On the right side of the trigger assembly, pull the spring from above the safety. Then pull the safety and detent out. Flip over the housing and then reinstall.
  2. What is the difference between a Glock and 1911 with functioning grip safety? I never understood the need for a safety to be engaged on a firearm with passive safeties, if other firearms are allowed to utilize the same passive safeties. While I won't disagree with the ruling(per match rule set), I don't think a firearm in this condition constitutes a match DQ. The gun, in that condition, can not fire.
  3. I have limited experience, but I really like my SD3G trigger. It doesn't break like the proverbial glass rod, but it fills the bill and then some, at least in my opinion.
  4. Nordic components offers a very high quality unit at a very reasonable price. It is, at least in my opinion, way better than a choate or tacpro. It's the only thing I will run on my shotguns.
  5. Now I know why it takes so long at the Chiropractors office...
  6. The timing is a personal preference thing, as Larry already suggested. It is not necessary.
  7. I thought about using a 2.5-10 on my open gun. Primarily because I can use an offset red dot. I haven't been to range where I would have benefited from the extra power on the top end though. The farthest range I have shot in competition is 300 yards.
  8. FXDC did this new extractor help? I haven't played with mine much. Just curious if this cured the problem.
  9. I think you would have a hard time beating the PST in the price range you have listed. It is what I shoot on my rifle and for the money, it has the most value, in my opinion. The glass is excellent.
  10. In for possible solutions. I am having the same issue with my Vortex Razor. The brass has dinged up the housing pretty good.
  11. We had one guy get checked in our squad. He loaded two at the buzzer and they asked him after how many rounds he started with. This match was awesome. The wranglers, RO's, RM's, etc were all outstanding. Hornady put on an excellent match and it is one that I will attend in the future.
  12. As to the A5 busting apart, it seems like it could be a logical occurrence. The barrel moving back and forth pounding on an aluminum nut doesn't seem like it would take long to break down the threads. I like that A5 that Patrick posted!
  13. The disconnector should hook on the back of the hammer, presuming the trigger is still pulled. The hammer needs to be pushed all the way back passed the sear engagement.
  14. I steer clear of it for the reason that it sucks to shoot. If it were me, I wouldn't shoot it in my mka1919.
