Welcome to the forums!

Thank you to all the California shooters who took time in explaining what we have to abide to; and thank you very much to all who were and are willing to take the extra effort to support California shooters.

Those are AWESOME!
You're doing the same thing for the Oregon Open in August?

She told me that she was not interested in an Engagement Ring, she told me , you know I'm not that much into Jewelry. An engagement ring costs allot of money, it is nice and shiny!!!
But doesn't do anything..!!!!!
SO I asked How about an Engagement Rifle?
I told her I would build, it myself, and she asked if she could help.
She will be my Wife in July!

Coming back from the Oregon State Championship, I know exactly what you mean...

I'm with you there I wish I would just miss by a bigger margin, it hurts less.
It was a great match though and we had a great squad that made it even better.
I also want to thank you for your generosity and support. You were definitely one of the great folks who made the match a success.

yes you should post it:)
You got mail!

I have a picture of the top 29 shooters sent to me, I'll post it here if that's okay.

I miss shooting in OR, good times.
Would have been neat to see you out there man. I'll be there with a bunch of California dreamers

I have a new unused Office 2003 Standard that you can have if Calendar synchronization is all you need. But I understand if you want the latest.
-
Shootersconnection has them in-stock also, if anyone else is still looking for some.

Good review, are you running it with the JP Ultra LMOS (Aluminum) carrier? Thanks!

Was the light "just right" to catch the little twirls of flame from the shotgun chambers? That was cool!
I've seen this on indoor ranges from behind the gun as the shooter and beside it. I've never seen it outdoors, so I am pretty impressed with that scene.
And add how the bolt bounces back in battery at the 0:31 second mark... very cool.

IT Geeks Rule!!!
Pretty disappointed in this season...very bland competitors. Did have some cool challenges though.
I agree... cool challenges, cool weapons but nothing close to a world class shooter; which they kept referring to the competitors. Gabby might be an exception though.

Must be in preparation for the next World Shoot, heard that the current Open division champ will be shooting Production too.

Surely someone who lives close by. Leave a note on the car that you want your books and notes back for the exam, a long shot but you never know. Sorry about your loss.

I use MG 124 gr JHP exclusively with 8.0 gr Silhouette or 8.1 gr 3N37 both @ 1.170 with WSR primers. Pretty safe in whatever temperature but that's through my gun; you'll need to tailor whatever load you choose to your gun.

Tried pretty much all the famous brands and for me Winchester is the best, for my guns at least.

The loss of any shooting show, is just that...a loss
Good or not so good, in general it was a plus for the shooting world
i will miss it

My wife enjoys watching it with me -- and she's not really a shooter. She's also seeing some of those really cool toys agreeing with me when I say "that's really cool ... I want one someday." Hell, even the cute 22-year-old intern at work watches Top Shot and talks with me about it at the office.
I think Top Shot is relatively good PR for shooting in general, as others on this forum have said before. The shooting is fairly uncomplicated (for the most part), and they almost never move, but they also have had VERY few (but not zero, I'll admit) safety violations, so they're presenting shooting as a safe and fun sport to the general TV-watching public. That's something we could do with more of, instead of our TV action heroes committing multiple unsafe maneuvers in seemingly every frame.
Long story short, it's not terribly exciting shooting, but it I think it is good for shooters, and it gives my wife and I something to laugh at together, which little enough TV does these days.

Same here, non shooters in my family watched it with me and sparked the interest in shooting.

LaRue Lower with JP CTR-02 Upper Pic Request
in Rifle - Technical
Posted
I had an SMOS (maker of LaRue lowers) lower before that I was going to pair up with my CTR-02 upper. I cannot close the two together and just ended up selling the SMOS lower.
It's the one on top.
