Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Alright! A steel one. Why didnt I think of that? Will be my next range addition.
  2. Hummm... No comments? This has been one of the best things that has helped to get my shooting quality back! GM tip #999
  3. With the dillon casefeeder connected atop of the casepro... I taped a small flashlight on to the tube so that it shines down to the casepro so I can clearly see down into every case as I work the casepro. Gravel can get stuck in the cases that the tumbler will not get out. Saves on breaking decapping pins when it gets to the sizing die.
  4. I cut out the A zone on a cardboard IPSC target then, I turn it around to where you see the no shoot, white side with the A zone missing. It makes you shoot A's. And if you hate to paste targets... you punish yourself when you have to go paste a white one. Also, I think that it promotes follow thru, by shooting thru the target. Makes me hold on the target a bit longer for a For Sure A. The eyes and brain tells me to be sure that the bullets hit the burm that I see thru the A zone.
  5. Feeling confident is a key. When I am feeling confident... I can naturally relax and you just let it happen.
  6. When you practice, visualize and try to put yourself at a match with the match presure that you have been feeling. Work through it. Get confident. AND reread Brians book.
  7. If you or anyone that is willing to put in the practice and has a real desire to improve at uspsa competition... I will be willing to help you out for no charge. I am a open class grandmaster of 10 years ago and I have started back this year. I am located approx. 20 miles north of Winston Salem and I have a range at my house. I am back to give a little back to the sport. I can be reached at lkiser69@gmail.com Subject line, brians forum. Lee Kiser TY 35186
  8. Thanks for the reply! Just what I was figuring. As long as it gets rid of the bump! Confidence to case-pro on...
  9. Anyone have any issues with case proing super comp brass with dies / plates on the case-pro that are for 38 super. Or are there super comp dies / plates that should be used? My new comp brass shows no unusual signs after going through the "case-pro". Just started loading for the super comp.
  10. Welcome aboard! You've been loading longer than I. I've been loading on a 650 since '97. The Sir Walter match is one of the best! 7 quality stages. 100+ shooters.
  11. TYVM This site is really good for the sport!
  12. Remember D&J bullets? & What a surprise to find 20K primers under 10 yrs. Of dust.
  13. Old mans gun... OPEN Shot 3 local matches now. Got gunsmith building 1 new open gun and repairing another. Nothing new. Had a broke gun and enough new parts to build another. (10 yr. old *New* parts)
  14. Hello all! and especially to you Brian! My name is Lee Kiser. I quit shooting about 10 years ago. GM in Open and M in Limited. NC state champ. 1999 & 2000. After putting my guns up, I went back and relearned my golf game. Got my handicap down to 0 and had alot of fun with that. Then about 6 years ago when my mother had a stroke and also blind... I sort of lost interest in competition and put everything aside to spend time caring for my family. With my parents in bad health and watching them go down hill has put a strain on me. Theres no way to fully compete like I did so intensly with other things, like my family on my mind. I am coping with it better. So here I am... shooting again. Sort of getting away from it all. I started cleaning up my run down range in my back yard. (can you imagine what 10 years can do) After alot of work. I set up a target and it was on! And I found out quick that if you keep your guns in the safe and not touch them in 10 years... it all don't come back real quick!! This GM card is pretty heavy right now! Got alot of work to do to catch up! (if this old body can) Bright side: a few more years and I'll be a senior. I'm in central, northern N.C. (north of Winston-Salem) Also, finally got the dust off of my Dillon xl650 and loading with 10 yr. old powder, primers and bullets. Here to learn. Shoot straight, fast & safe! TY-35186 Thanks Brian for all you do for the sport! And this forum seems to be a great thing!
