  1. I'm running Hiperfire 24Cs and JP triggers....also love Gold Trigger in my .223 ARs...that being said most of the 9mm bolts will not reset the Gold triggers in my experience.  Not enough depth on the bolt to reset the hammer, BUT I have found that the Taccom Extreme bolt is made correctly and will reset the Gold Triggers.  Problem is that I already have three lowers for my 9mms and running the 24Cs in them....maybe if I build another 9 I'll drop in  a Gold Trigger..but at the present time I'm not going to switch them out(for another $250) when the 24C is working fine.

  2. Been using the C-more with an 8MOA for a number of years....started using it two years ago when I built my first PPC....recently added the Holosun 510C....wow...it's a toss up now.  I found that I do not like using the circle with the dot....too distracting for me...but with my eyes the 2moa on the 510C "Stars" out to about a 4moa....

Wish they could make the 510C with a 6moa and smaller circle though.

    New taccom firing pin.

Tip is a little deformed. Actually this is only after aprox 160 rounds

Had exactly the same problem with a new Taccom firing pin.  Ordered two to replace the orginial pins in two of my Taccom Extreme bolts....one is fine. The other one got beat up and kept "catching" on the firing pin hole.  Pulled it out and this is what it looked like.  Tried cleaning it up, but still have problems.  Waiting on Tim to get some new ones in.  Sometimes things happen and they slip past the inspectors....I'm a patient guy

  4. Although I have the red dot, not the green one I did find the zero wasn't close....but it only took a few rounds to zero it in.  I was about 7 inches low and a couple inches left(at 15 yards).

Don't know about the green being bright enough.  I know that the red has plenty of brightness and I leave it on the "auto" mode all the time

  5. Don't know if it's the best place to order a 510C from but I've ordered both of mine from Optics Planet....wait for a 10% sale...and buy them for $269.99  Best I've found so far.  Ordered one yesterday and received a $50 gift certificate to spend on my next purchase from Optic's Planet.

  6. I have switched over in my PCCs to Taccom's Extreme bolt and have found that Tim built these with the orginial size of the .223 bolts where the hammer resets.  Most of the 9mm bolts are shallow and need to be built up as I did with my PSA bolts.  But the Taccom has the correct dimensions...SO....I found that it will reset the American Gold triggers just fine.

  7. Usually run C-Mores with a 8 dot....recently bought the Holosun 510C....really like it.  Shot several matches with it...decided to only use the dot and even though it's only a 2MOA dot to my old eyes it looks more like a 4MOA and that does work for me.  I love the solar power and the instant on.  I'm sold on this sight....large window...instant on...auto brightness/or manual

(I use the auto brightness) and no looking thru a tube.  I will be getting another one soon for another PCC.

  8. A lot will depend on the bullet....are you using jacketed or cast(coated or lubed)?  With cast bullets you will be able to run almost forever(well, not quite forever but upwards of 50,000 or more).  Perhaps even a LOT more.  Jacketed bullets will wear the barrel down a lot faster, but you're not shooting 2500 fps or more.  Clean the barrel....and IF and WHEN accuracy starts to fall off...replace the barrel.  If you're shooting cast....you've got a lot of years to go yet.  Not something you need to worry about for a very long time.

  9. I've got three of Tim's (Taccom) bolts.....couldn't be happier!!  Love the AR extractor and the fact that the bolt is cut "thicker" so that you don't have to worry about re-setting the trigger with a "too-short" hammer.

  10. In the early rules of PCC it stated that the PCC must be held by two hands while firing a shot....now I'm noticing in PCC shooting tips that people are shooting them with one hand(holding a rope or something else while shooting.  Went to the USPSA website and found some wording about "might" shoot with two hands.  So, I'm confused....which is it?  Requirement to shoot using both hands on the PCC or can I shoot one handed and not get DQed?

  11. Polymer is fine....Click switch if you don't mind spending a little more....the dot "seems" brighter on a click rather than a standard switch...but either one will work.  Have them on my three PCCs and my open gun, plus a couple of AR-15s(.223).  Never have they let me down.  Very quick on target.
