  1. You know... i did some research on outguns.com, they provide internet protal solutions and email addresses. However they require you to have your own server and ppay certain charges. I bet it wouldnt be that difficult to give the police the information and track it to whoever it is. Just who to go to first.... I also supposed we'd have to have some kind of proof... Brad
  2. hey!!! I ran into this as well i think... Read this series of emails i got from a guy named "Matt Smith" when i advertised to sell my MP5 A4 Airsoft gun: Ok fine since the cost of your Marui MP5 A4 Customized is $350. My client will be issuing out to you a total payment of $3550. As soon as you receive the payment of $3550 and have gotten it cashed, you will have to deduct the cost of your Marui MP5 A4 Customized which is $500 and send $3000 through western union to an international shipping company that will come to your location for the pick up of the Marui MP5 A4 Customized. My client said you should keep the remaining $200 for yourself i.e $350 for the cost of the Marui MP5 A4 Customized and $200 for yourself making a total of $550 for you. So you will be expecting payment of $3550. And i hope my client and i can count on you for the $3000 which will be sent through western union to an international shipping company that will come to your location for the pick up of the Marui MP5 A4 Customized as soon as you have gotten the payment cashed. I will like you to send Your full name, Full contact address and Telephone number where the payment will be send to. Hope to hear from you soon. Best Regards, Matt Smith. Those were the terms he proposed and thank God, one of my friends found this thread for me before I even got his check.... Question: should i take the check to the authorities if he sends it anyway? Is there anything they can really do? Brad
  3. heh, my brain is flooding with new information. Thanks guys!
  4. excellent, thanks a lot guys
  5. what do you guys (and girls) recomend for a .22? this will be my first gun, and i am very ambitious and wanting to compete.
  6. awesome, i follow ya completely until you went with the part about Major Minor Alpa, bravo, etc...
  7. Thanks for all the help guys, i absorb this stuff like a spounge.
  8. What would you guys recommend as the best resource (online preferably, but offline would work as well) for a COMPLTE beginner? (definition of complete beginner: completely ignorant of the gun trade/sport; does not know what a magwell/sompressor/etc is; and has never fired a pistol before.) Brad Edwards
  9. defintely makes more since... lemme see if i got this right: minor league is a smaller caliber, so because of that, u have to be more accurate (cause the kick is less). for the "major" league, which uses a larger caliber (.40's and .45's oppossed to .22's and 9mm), missed shots hurt you less than in the minors. a Barreta is an example of a production gun right? And if i get this straight, limited, and limited ten are the divisions based on mag size, right?
  10. does it matter what division you compete in? is one "Better" thatn the other or a major oppossed to a minor, etc?
  11. i was told that it would be far better to go with a .45 over a 9mm because of the way the divisions/;eagues are set up. Since i have no idea what guns are used where and how... help? Does it matter whther i get a .45 or a 9mm? Or is it just personal preference....?
  12. excellent, thanks a lot guys... keep 'em coming!!!
  13. Hey all, heh, i see you all are adding fuel to kevin's fire. My name is Brad Edwards, and owuld prefer to go by that as well, im one of Kev's best friends from high school and he got me fired up about this as well... Main difference: I have NO experience with firearms other than the two occasions i fire an M16 for my ROTC Basic Rifle Marksmanship qualifications. Heh, this year i scored a perfect 40/40 with an un zeroed rifle, so im feeling pretty ambitious. I know a pistol is a whole nother animal but im planinng on branching Military Police in the Army when i get my commission. My quesions follow the same line as Kev's: What gun should i purchase as my first to get started, but since i also have a cinsiderably smaller budget, what could i get that will last me a while as well? I would really appreciate any help i could get as i am a complete noob to the sport as well as the education of it. please, small words at first! I am going to Truman State university in Kirksville, MO, which is about an hour and a half north of columbia, so if there is anyone out there who would like an apprentice, please, let me know! Brad Edwards Mediocracy gets you nowhere.
