  1. Thanks for the feedback! I am going start to save up for a SBE II. I will post pictures after I hit it with the mall ninja hammer.
  2. What are the disadvantages to running the SBE II over the M2? I know it has a longer barrel and cost more. TIA, G45
  3. I have heard good things (except for it being loud) about Bushmasters Tri Y comp. Anyone ever try one of those? G45
  4. What modifications do you think are needed to make the Saiga competitive?
  5. Thanks for the calculator, now only if I had time to chrono a few rounds. I will be shooting the 175g Black Hills so I think the drop will be greater than the 168g at 200. I only have access to a 100yd range the day before the match. I am now thinking about setting my zero at 2" high at 100yd. I really appreciate the replies, G45
  6. Mini rifle poppers, 8" steel gong, lollypops and maybe a texas star. From what you are saying it sounds like I should be OK with a 100yd zero. Thanks, G45 Any other tips for an MOR newby?
  7. Help a newby MOR shooter out! I am shooting at a local 3 gun match next Sunday and will be borrowing a Remmy 700 PSS in .308 with a 10X Super Sniper using 175grn Black Hills ammo for the MOR side match. MOR is new to me so forgive me if this is a stupid question. The rifle is zeroed at 100yrds and I will confirm this the day before the match. My question is how much will I need to change my point of aim on the 10 steel targets ranging from 100 to 200 yrds? Should I change my zero at a 100 yds to an inch high? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. I know this is not a very challenging stage compared to what the guys out west shoot, but I am looking forward to it. TIA, G45
  8. I have experienced the same problems. Left the mags loaded with 10 rounds for 3 months, cut the spring, tried different springs, all the suggested above, the only thing that changed was that the 1st few rounds were easier to load. The mags will hold 10 rounds, the problem is that the last round has so much presure on it that it causes drag between the top round and the bottom of the slide. This can cause a malfunction and make it hard to seat the mag (you got to slap her on the ass real hard ). Flexmoney has got it right, the G21 restricted mags are the worst, my G17 restricted mags work fine. I too would like to know if any one has been able to get the G21 10 round magazine to function correctly. I have a gen 2 mag that I am will to grind on if anyone has a suggestion. TIA G45
  9. OK, I shot a local 3 gun match last weekend at Thurmont, MD MPSA and I am hooked. I used my m4gery and did not shoot it as well as I had hoped (the brain to trigger interface was to blame). I now want, no, need to build a Limited rifle. I have a post ban Bushmaster lower assembly with a Bushmaster trigger. I need to buy/build an upper. I new to 3 gun so I will ask some basic questions, please feel free to elaborate. 1. Barrel length? 2. Barrel material? 3. Hand guard type? 4. Upper receiver type? 5. Sites? I am on a budget so if there are areas that are more important to spend money on than others I will spend accordingly. If there are complete uppers available that will do the job I will consider that as well. Any other tips for a 3gun FNG I would appreciate. Thanks, JT
