Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. That is looking good! (Thanks for the best photos I've seen to-date. It looked like top-side priming, ala M2 precisioin or Arizona ammo - how does that work into the operation? GsT
  2. Try a small target, or a target at long range. Transition the gun to the target with a target focus. As the blurry front sight enters your vision focus on it. That's how I discovered shooting with both eyes open. For whatever reason I found it much easier to do at longer range, but practicing there made it possible to move in closer, until I could do it at all ranges. Contrary to what others posted, my groups improved. Finally, don't forget to get some weak hand practice in - that really threw me for a loop first time I shot weak hand with both eyes open. (At a match, of course!) GsT
  3. There are 7 presses on the bench, L to R: Redding T7(.308, .338Lapua), Lyman T-MagII(.50AE, .357,.38), Dillon 650(.308,.223,.40S&W), Dillon 1050(.45), RCBS Rockchucker(Everything!!), Dillon SL900(12ga.), Hollywood Sr.(.50BMG). The bench is welded up from 2"x4" rectangular steel tubing. It's 3' deep, but the first 12" is 3/8" steel plate - makes for a nice rigid bench. (The rear of the bench is just a melamine plank for collecting dust, errant primers, et. al. GsT
  4. My bench. It's amazing how this can take on the appearance of being somewhat tidy (without photoshop). At least it's not intentionally decieving. GsT
