  1. I tumble clean my 357 sig brass then size using a Hornady 40 S&W Titanium Nitride sizing die (no lube) to size lower portion of case. You need to remove the de-priming stem from the die because the pin gets stuck in primer pocket hole. Next step is to size using 357 sig sizing die again no lube. After that normal loading. I have been doing this for awhile now and no problems. This was suggested to me online and I wasn't sure about it, tried it and it works great. No need to lube. canthit
  2. Sorry to hear about your guns and hope no one was injured. I also use the 550 and used titegroup. I only loaded a few rounds and quit using the powder because of the small amount used. You can easily double charge or even triple charge and it could be easy not to notice. I wll not use a powder that a double charge will not fill the case almost to the top. I also look in the case to visually inspect before indexing. Titegroup shot great but just not the powder for me. canthit
  3. Yes, it happened to me the firsy year I started shooting bullseye. I was lucky the person next to me noticed the sound (I did not) and stopped me from fireing the next shot. I did not notice any difference when the shoot was fired. The bullet was about 2 inches in the barrel and the nexted round chambered. Canthit
  4. I have not used their bullets yet, but I recently had the same problem with other cast bullets. I am shooting a custom 1911 in 9mm and the chamber is a little tight. The problem was solved by a slightly larger bell and a little more crimp. I had tried every thing I could think of,but this is what worked for me. I thought I had more than enough bell and crimp. The adjustment was not much , maybe a 1/16 of a turn. Hope this will help. canthit
  5. If you are using bullets designed for the 9mm that could be the problem. You should use bullets specific for the 357 sig. I tried when I first started loading for the 357 sig wasted bullets and time, the taper of the 9mm bullets does not give the case neck enough to hold the bullet and can not be crimped properly. flb
  6. Goosedowner, One thing is 357 sig needs sizing lube because of the bottle neck casing. I found if you resize the base with a 40 cal. nitride sizing die before the 357 sizing you do not need the lube. I know its another step, but easier than messing with the lube. Also make sure the crimp holds the bullet firm to prevent bullet set back. this can be a problem even with factory loads. Hope this will help. Canthit
