Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. the nice thing about the 124 HBRN is the heavy plate makes them more like jacketed and able to use the jacketed charts.
  2. For a while about 2 years ago all I found at my range was S&B. Consequently have loaded thousands and never had a problem.
  3. CZ's are notorious for not liking the Ogive on the MG hollow points and I would also have to load them to 1.1 which is why I switched to MG 124 CMJ's recently. They load to total length the same as WWB 115. Note the 115 will most likely shoot lower than the 124's which is normal. You might also try the reloading section of the CZ forum at http://www.czfirearms.us/
  4. Have some of each and yes a very slight bit of difference but not enough to worry about. I also go with the CMJ if price is close. I find the JHP's from MG don not work well in my CZs but are GREAT in others. CZ has very little head space and the st8 sides of the JHP's make the OAL too short to feed quite as well. I still use them but make sure I wrap the mag on the back before inserting.
  5. I also thank you guys. A LOT of useful info there that I have not seen elsewhere re 147 loads.
  6. If this isn't allowed feel free to move or delete. I don't usually plug places especially big box type places but I looked forever for this at reasonable price. With all the costs of getting into reloading had to save where I could and compared to other places $14.99 is awesome price. http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?i=423648&pdesc=Lee_Modern_Reloading_2nd_Edition_Book&str=lee+manual&merchID=4005
  7. Usually not on my like list BUT as hectic as it has been spending yesterday sorting a few thousand rounds was real relaxing
  8. Bigger is easier and of course more expensive. IE have a like new 26cc zanoah gasser metal upgrades Exel gasser that would run $2500 used. About $3800 into it. Just short of 6ft blade span with all Jr high speed sevos, JR gyro. And co-pilot controls (basically save the heli control by auto leveling it if you let go of controls) probably the easiest you will find BUT none of them are learn on your own-find a trainer and see what he suggests.
  9. If any of you frequent the CZ forum we try to get together in Jan or Feb at Bv for a CZ get together. Larry
  10. Young America, about 35 miles west of the cities. Double tap not so smart Ipod arghhhh
  11. Young America, about 35 miles west of the cities.
  12. Thanks again. Splitting 4000 115gn, plus got 100 124 gn, 100 147 gn in FMJ and 200 124 JHP MG with local guy
  13. Knock down so thanks for the info on heavier bullet. Guess I just needed at least one other persons perspective.
  14. Just starting out reloading pistol (reloaded shotgun for many years) and considering bullets. From what I have read I can't go wrong with Montana Gold so that's where I am starting (comments welcome). My question is one of weight. Typically have been shooting 115 WWB. I am shooting steel in summer and thinking I should probably upgrade to 124 right from the beginning. Opinions comments etc?? Larry
  15. Thanks guys. Really like what I have seen so far.
