  2. SSG Daniel Horner won Tactical Optics.
  3. Satern or White Oak can make you an 18 or 20 inch barrel. Make sure to use a carbine gas port - a rifle gas port does not work.

  6. I know what you mean about the trajectory concerns - we are working with Leupold to do custom scope reticles. Scope is 1.5-5 FFP. 300 Whisper® does not have enough throat to load 175 MK to 2.26 OAL, so at the same pressure (say, 55,000 PSI), the Whisper probably cannot make Major in a 16 inch barrel.
  7. uspsa.org/rules/2009TournamentRules.pdf •Tactical minimum, .308 caliber. Do they mean "308 Winchester or cartridges with a large case capacity are required" or do they mean "bullets of .308 or larger caliber?"
  8. It makes 330 PF in a 16 inch barrel with Sierra 175 MK and A1680 powder at under 55,000 psi, and holds 30 rounds in a normal magazine.
  9. 300 AAC BLACKOUT should qualify for this. 30 round capacity in an 5.56mm-sized rifle. It can make a 320 PF in almost any length barrel.
  10. www.300aacblackout.com Today I shot 175 Sierra MK at 1950 fps from a 20 inch AR (340PF). It should be able to do a 330PF from a 16 inch. AA1680 or H110 powder, 2.26 OAL. Compared to 300 Fireball, 30-221, or 300 Whisper®, the freebore is longer, which tends to allow it to be loaded to a higher velocity before reaching max pressure. So it is like comparing 5.56mm to 223, or 6.8 SPC-II to 6.8 SAAMI. Remington is loading factory ammo and about a dozen companies are making products soon or have already. 30 round magazine capacity and uses standard bolt face. Feeding is reliable and bolts don't break prematurely. http://www.silencertalk.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=128 http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=63569 http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=121&t=512119&page=1
