  1. For what it's worth I have taken around 15 varies classes from many instructors over just the past 4 years.

Ben's ability to break down a shooters perception of their abilities that they are good enough just because they may win a local club match has worked well for me and some of my fellow classmates. Like many shooters here I got complacent because I was good enough to win on a local level and didn't work that hard if I was being honest with myself.

Ben showed us what our expectations should be and made it apparent that the only may to make that happen was to work our asses off and push it. I'm not saying I did not take things away from the other classes I have taken but Ben's def has stuck with me longer and has motivated me more than the others.

  2. There are 3 options for a powder through expander (I think).

    1. Powderfunnels.com

    2. Hornady

    3. The one from Mr. Bullet feeder.

Has anyone tried more than 1 of the above? Pro's vs Con's ? Which is the best?

It'll be a few months before I can set up my 1050 with bullet feeder, so I'm going to set it up on the LnL for my winter marathon loading sessions.

I use the Powderfunnels.com and I also have the Hornady ones. I prefer the Powderfunnels.com as I can tune the expansion is a bit easier.

  4. I just bought a backup Glock 34 today and found the serial number funny, though I'm surprised Glock would use that in their serial number.

  5. I have loaded maybe 15,000 rounds through my LnL press when i starting to have some indexing issues. I tried to adjust the pawls but I could not get it to advance enough without catching.

After spending some time on the phone with Hornady and emailing them some photos they finally asked me to take of the shell plate and check the drive hub. Well it turns out the hub broken.

Hornady was very helpful and they sent me a replacement hub but I figured someone else may have this issue at some point and this may save them some trouble.

Aluminum shaft collar, set 6 1\4 below the primer alarm, coupled together by a spring with special longer hooks. The alarm still can rub the powder drop but can't get knocked off the primer tube.

I will get a kit set up on the site tonight.(For my cost + priority shipping to you) If you would like to do it yourself, you can order the parts thru McMasterCarr. Only problem is, they are sold in packs of 6. Part numbers are 6157K15 and 96605K44.

Just ordered the retention kit, thanks!

  7. According to the description from the CH4D website the File Trim Die is useful when a considerable amount of material needs to be trimmed off the top of a case after forming operations. The case is run completely into the die, and what projects out of the top of the die can be sawed off and/or filed smooth. So can I use these same dies to trim factory ammo that I've shot and now need to trim it back to specs?

I think I may just order the die from CH4D and try it. I will post after I get it all setup and let you know how it works.
