  1. There will be pre-registration for the August 5th match. The MD is revising the rules we want to have in place. We will post the finalized rules on the PCSI website, Ohio Shooting Sports website, and on this forum. It has not been decided yet if there will be a cut off for the number of registrants. Even if the match does not end up having a limited number of shooters, pre-registration seemed to really speed up the match sign up process. The squading also seemed to work very well. If you pre-registered last match and have any comments or criticisms, I would appreciate it you let me know here or PM me. Thanks, Dan O'Carroll
  2. The multi-gun MD and I looked at the club schedule for June and there is another event on the Sunday after the IDPA match. So we can't change at this point. Multi-gun will be the Sunday after USPSA. There are pros and cons to following either match. USPSA uses more props and steel, so there is less to drag out for multi-gun set-up. The majority of those willing to set-up for multi-gun after the USPSA match are IDPA shooters. Some of whom don't shoot the USPSA match, just show up and do a lot of hard work. Multi-gun will survive at PCSI whether it follows IDPA or USPSA or neither.
  3. Pickaway County Sportsmen Inc (PCSI) will be running its first match of the year Saturday, March 24th. We run the full 192 shot course with the mover, falling plates, barricade, and practical events. The match fees are $10 for PCSI members, $15 for non-members, and free for ladies and juniors. To check out the Action Pistol division page follow Flex's link below and go to the Shooting Divisions page and select Action Pistol.
  4. The schedule change was approved on Thursday. So, the first match will be Sunday, April 15th. There will be five stages. Don't have a final round count yet.
  5. MD has flown south for the winter, but I will be requesting a schedule change to make the multigun match Sunday April 15th. The April 8th date had been submitted before we realized it was Easter. The 14th will be the IPDA match at PCSI. The IDPA MD has agreed to work with us to use our stage setups as the basis of the IDPA match.
  6. You got it. USPSA is normally 5 stages including a classifier stage. They are typically high round count, 25-32 each. Steel is about 1/4 of targets overall (that's a guess). There was a stage of 26 or 28 all steel last year. After USPSA is done on Saturday afternoon, modification of the stages for Multi-gun begins. There are usually 4 multi-gun matches a year in April, June, August, and October. The matches are typically 5 stages. I don't have enough posts to attach a link to the stage descriptions, but the round counts for the last two matches were: Rifle-75, Pistol-24, Shotgun-37, Slugs-6 and Rifle-60, Pistol-37, Shotgun-42, Slugs-2
  7. I called the Match Director. He'd just recently turned those dates into the club...so they aren't official yet. April would put them on Easter...so it won't happen...might be moved. Easter is the second Sunday, April 8. April 1st is a Sunday, so it could be on the 1st. I guess we'll see. Multigun matches are the Sunday after the first Saturday of the month at PCSI. USPSA is the first Saturday, so the majority of the USPSA stage set up is used the next day for Multigun. The MD is considering the next Sunday, April 15th. The second Saturday is the IDPA match at PCSI, so the thought is to use those stage setups as the basis of the Multigun. MD is trying to work it out.
