Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. More info on this match. The Pickaway County Sportsman's Range is hosting the Special Forces Association Chapter 45 (SFA 45) in a charity 3-Gun Match to benefit the soldiers of Company B, 2nd Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group and their families. The 70 Green Berets and 4 support soldiers are the only unit of Green Berets stationed in Ohio and all these citizen soldiers are currently deployed on an eight month mission overseas. In the past, funds raised by SFA 45 have been used to pay for travel and expenses for family members to visit wounded unit members in hospital at Walter Reed and in Germany. Thankfully, that has not yet been necessary this deployment and the funds from this event are earmarked for a welcome home celebration for unit members and their families at the King's Island amusement park. 2. Thank you! I should have been more specific. I'm looking for a kydex holster preferably with level 2 retention for vigorous multigun stages.
  3. Has anyone found a holster option other than the Red Hill Tactical?

  5. Rose Action Sports did my shotgun work also. Left my shotgun with Steve after the BRM 3-gun and got it back in the mail nine days later. Nine days. Amazing! It loads so smoothly now, I can't believe I waited a year to open up the port. Used in a match today and it was flawless.

  8. It is in the rule book clarifications on the IDPA website.
  9. According to the FTDR rule clarification, all that is required to earn the FTDR is not reloading to take one or more shots. The shooter's intentions are irrelevant. The perform the reload and take the shot, no FTDR. They do not perform reload and take the shot, FTDR.
  10. I believe you. It may not be enduring, but I will have an answer.
  11. Practical shooting (3-gun, USPSA, IDPA, etc.) competitions are not considered a "sporting purpose" by ATF.
  12. Did the Nordic Components folks have any documentation or an interpretation from the ATF saying that the shotgun doesn't have more than 10 foreign made parts from the ATF parts list and can therefore be assembled into a "non-sporting" configuration by the addition of their mag tube extension? My understanding is that Beretta has sold a perfectly legal imported shotgun suitable for sporting purposes. Nordic Components has sold a perfectly legal mag tube extension. That is where their liability ends. If I assemble those parts and the total capacity of the magazine is now greater than 5, then I have I have made it into a "shotgun prohibited from importation under section 925 (d)(3) of this chapter as not being particularly suitable for or readily adaptable to sporting purposes." If the assembled shotgun has 10 or fewer foreign made parts as defined by the ATF, then I'm good to go. If it has more than 10, then I must replace some of those parts with American made parts in order to bring the foreign made part count down to 10 and make the shotgun compliant with 922r. I'm going to ask the ATF about this particular shotgun. If someone else already has a letter from the ATF about this shotgun, then I would be interested in seeing it.
  13. I just quoted myself from another thread. This question comes up occasionally. People build AR's everyday without giving it a thought, but when adding a tube to a shotgun people wonder about 922R - I don't get it. Building an AR and adding a tube extension to an imported shotgun which already has a 5 round tube are two very different animals. The more I have read on the subject, the more I disagree with your interpretation. I do appreciate your posts though.
  14. for what its worth, they come with the mag tube ext installed The ones I've seen in stores haven't had extended tubes installed. They are 5+1. So if I add a +5 extension, would I be in compliance with 922r?
