  1. We'll I just finished the last episode of season 3 and it sucked. I think it ended in the only way that Brody could finally be at peace. After all he had been through I had hoped for a different peace. It will be interesting to see how the story line continues with season 4. It is possible they may have "jumped the shark".

  2. At a local club in Oxford, Oh (OH10) they try to alternate rifle & shotgun matches, depending on interest. After the monthly USPSA match is over those who paid an extra $5 at signup then shoot the long gun match. All the same stages with just the steel removed on the rifle days. Scoring the same.

We did the same a few years back at a local club. After the USPSA match we shot again using rifles only. Same stages, same scoring. It was a bunch of fun. Don't know of any clubs doing that now.

  3. https://www.freedomventures.ca/products/firearms check this place out they have all the xtreme models

The Limited gun is listed for $2255............. That is a pretty hefty price tag. Especially when you can order an EAA Witness Limited and upgrade it with all of the same parts for about $1900. Paying an extra $355 for a "Tanfoglio" name on the side is a pretty stiff up charge.

After reading the Tangoglio website, the Xtreme models do have some custom work. I think a trigger job, smoothing and fitting of slide to frame and maybe some other stuff.

You are right though, start with a Limited and add parts and gunsmith work and still have money for other things.

  4. It is possible to find them used. I have a few friends that have them (Stock 2 and 3). I hope to talk to Tanfoglio at Shot and get more info on the Xtreme line of pistols!

What info are you looking for? The stock 2/3 Xtreme have a more durable finish and contain the following parts:

    Xtreme hammer

    Xtreme firing pin

    Xtreme front sight

    Xtreme guide rod

    Xtreme aluminum grips

Xtreme base pads for the magasines.

They are also polished internally from the factory. I have handled them all, they are nice!

I did not know that. Definitely gives more options. Thanks.

  5. I have been doing a little research on these pistols and have decided I might want one. I also have a number of questions that I hope can be answered.

    1. Is it possible to get a pistol with Tanfoglio markings instead of EAA?

    2. The Limited Custom Xtreme on the Tanfoglio website really sounds like what I want but is not listed on the EAA website. Is this pistol available in the US?

    3. Are there any shops that specialize in working on these pistols in the US?

    4. Any suggestions on the best place to find these pistols for sale in the US?

    Thanks for any help.

  6. I'm starting to wonder about the springs in the new Glocks. I have a 17L and a 23 bought back around 1995 that would shoot anything put in them. 100% reliable with everything. I got a Gen 4 35 a few months back and started having the same issues. Put in new springs and now I'm almost back to 100% after working out some reloading issues.

I am seeing the same issues with other shooters at the matches who have the newer Glocks. It is kind of disappointing because I have recommended Glocks for years because the ones I had were so reliable. Hope someone here has some suggestions.

  7. I've been using a Safariland 014 for the last 3 matches. The gun is very secure and locked when not shooting. Draws are very smooth. Have not found anything I don't like so far.

Now I have one less thing to worry about. Pistol fell out of Ghost 3 times. Never could feel secure with it.
