  1. I would go with what Graham has said. Use the Sierra Palma 155's. they have about the same BC as the 175 gr's but you get higher velocity and can reach out further. I just ordered a few lbs of this myself. Jesse
  2. hey guys. So my grandpa gave me a set of old lachmiller .308 dies. Well after resizing about 100 cases the decaping pin broke on a military case. It appears to be a tapered pin. Does anyone know where i can buy some pins? Thanks for the help ~ Jesse
  3. ok thanks. what about for used presses
  4. hey guys im going to start shooting my 308 win in benchrest and sniper matches. So i need a simple single stage reloding press like the rockchucker. Where should i be looking for a good price on one? thanks guys
  5. the cup that i put on it came from a similar redding scale.
  6. hey guys, my grandpa gave me an old redding beam scale. It was covered in dust so i cleaned it all off and put a cup on it(dident come with one)but it will not zero. it zeros at about 3.75 gr. is there anything i can do?
  7. I can get to 5 ranges with in an hour.
  8. i really like the sergical crome. i think that the ceramic coating stuff is a good one aswell.
  9. yep i need to put in some speakers next to the shelvs. thansk for the wounderfull idea.
  10. Are you saying its safe to shoot rounds with high primers, but to just realize the feeding issues? Yeah, it technically is safe to shoot them, but I doubt they will ignite on the first strike. The first strike usually finishes seating the primer, the seconds sets them off. If they are very high, they won't even feed. What I was saying above, was that don't worry about seating them when you are loading the round. He (Jxman25) was worried about setting one off when he was seating the primer in the cup (using too much force to seat it). I've loaded thousands upon thousands of rounds, some of the primers were so crushed that it actually concaved them, none ever went bang when I was seating the primer. ya when youi see the revolver shooters get a high primer sometimes they will go all the way around again because it was seated the first time and goes off the second. Now my seating problems are solved due to my new bench
  11. I new someone would eventually comment on it. i measured the htings like 5 times and they got screwed up twice. both times they were off by like an inch. I ran out of 2x6s and had to make it work. i really should of put a few coates of polyurithane on the shelves to make it match the bench but oh well. thanks guys, Jesse
  12. good idea. a tall entertainment room would be good to bolt a press to aswell
  13. where did it get moved to?
  14. in the picture it looks rather small but its around 65"x30". i wish i had a whole room to utilize as a work/reloading room but i just put the bench in my room. my room has 6 walls, it is kind of a upside down L shape. do you guys put anything down over tge table to protect it? i just threw down a peice of leather, is there a cheap place to buy a gun mat?
  15. here is my reloading bench i made last weekend. My dad isnt a carpenter but he is good at watching and holding things, It dosent wable or flex and its level, (what more could you want in a $50 bench anyways)I got it all loaded up now aswell. you cant really tell by the pic but there is a half shelf under the table. Well here are the pics, what do you guys think? jesse

  19. well i feel like an idiot right about now. my dad and i were adjusting the amount of flare on the brass and he ran one through it to see if it was adjusted to our satisfaction. when he brought the cassing into the die the powder measure poped off. it wasnt broken but all the powder fell onto the ground. My problem is that it was completly full!!! i sweaped it up with a clean broom and dust pan, i put it into a plastic container is shook it a little. i dident see any dirt or anything. is it ok if i use this powder. thanks guys.
