  1. Two guys from Minnesota and Wisconsin bought Master Baster Bullets. They are in the process of setting up shop. There web site will be up later next week. The moly is the same but I'm told that the polishing process is even better. The new business name is Black Bullet International. I'll be trying some 9mm with Solo 1000.
  2. I saw some grips for a single stack 1911 that were the shape and size of plastic 2011 grips. Now I can't find who makes them on the internet. Could someone let me know who makes these grips? Thanks Chip
  3. When I took Matt's class the point of shooting an open gun first was to learn how to track the sights as the gun is in motion. You can see the dot lift off of the target and then you see the dot come back down. Then you transition from one target to another you see the dot moving back down and on to the next target. You can easily see and track the gun and it sights movement. Then when you switch to a limited gun you know what the front sight should be doing. Not that you couldn't learn with a limited gun to begin with but it made it much easier. He told this to a father who was trying to teach his 12 year old boy how to shoot. Chip
  4. I am thinking of buying a new 650. I already have one set up for 40cal but I would like one for loading 223 and 45. But reading what has been posted about the 1050 makes me wonder if I should give some thought about a 1050. My main question is: What makes the 1050 so much faster than a 650? Is it a disadvantage that it is not covered by the same warranty as the 650 because it is considered a commercial machine? Thanks Chip
  5. Who makes the heaviest mag catch spring? I have a Dawson spring but someone told me ISMI makes a heavier one. Is this true? Chip
  6. Hi Guys Taked to Benny today, great guy and very helpful. I use 180 gr HP Zero bullets and Titegroup 4.9 gr oal 1.2. I agree with Benny. I shoot about 400 to 600 rounds in a quick practice session once or twice a week. I just burn out the barrel, but thats what I bought it for. The gun will be heading down to Benny's as soon as things slow down here in Minnesota and the snow starts to fly. (that could be next week ,just kidding) Thank for the replies Chip
  7. I have a SV 40 cal (Schuemann barrel) that I have about 50k rounds through it. During practice this weekend two or three round out of 200 showed sights of tumbling on the paper targets. My friend said his 45 started doing this, put a new barrel in it and it stop tumbling. I examined the barrel. I found the land and groves are barely visible two thirds of the way down . I have another newer Schuemann barrel and the groves are very visible all the way to the camber area. I thought I would be able to shot more round then this through a barrel. Is it time for a new barrel? Thanks Chip
