Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. They actually tested one of those buggy things at a range I use. The range is pretty flat and the grass is kept short. It did not work very well. It worked great on the pavement/concrete. But not so much on the grass.
  2. I have found that the plugs feel better to me. I have tried different types of muffs, but for some reason it seems like all I do when I wear them is fool with them because they hurt my outer ear. I may have a weird ear phobia or something. Anyway, plugs have always been fine with me. I am not a pro shooter, and I don't compete, so I am sure that I don't shoot as much as some of you guys, just more than the average gun user I guess. I do find myself yelling at whoever I am talking to, that gets some laughs.
  3. I had had a 45 for years, actually I just sold it. I am a big fan of the 40. U can get alot more shots, plus the recoil is about the same I think. It's also cheaper to shoot.
  4. I actually know Mike. I worked with him as a police officer in Knoxville. We were in the police academy together. I can tell you from 1st hand experience, he was the best pistol shooter I have ever dealt with. I saw him on the show and was blown away that he went home after one round. Mike was always a great guy and very humble. He was quite, but polite. I read some of the post that spoke on his attitude, Mike has no attitude. He is just not a very outspoken in-your-face kind of guy. He is good, and he knows he is good. He was always, always willing to lend a hand and help out those of us who are not "blessed" with an eagle eye. I never thought Mike was cocky or big headed. I knew that if things went south, you wanted him with you, and I knew he was a guy you could count on. And if he couldn't shoot you, he could take you out with his hands! If your reading Mike, good luck in all you do buddy. 98-A rules!!
