I like a holster to be secure. I cut down a Safariland custom fit with a dremel and it was faster than any of the daa or blade tech stuff. I could literally grab the gun and point it at the target no lift required and it passed the retention test. The down side was that you had to bungee the gun in place if you were going to do anything but draw and shoot. I use the blade tech race holster now and feel comfortable enough that I could shoot three gun with the revo if I wanted to. I'd change the orientation to vertical for space savings and a little more help from gravity.

Blazer is my backup brass. Works well. Reloads well on the Dillon. I have no issues with brass sticking, so I grade it by what clips up well and what comes off the expander smoothly.

Now this is laughable.... Now that it's not required....everyone wants to go to it??? I say just have at it and make some murderous stages with forty plus rounds required. I'm here for the reloading party!

Now you can be a problem causer and make everyone have a standing reload or really force shooters to shoot on the move to avoid them! ?I just designed some of my first stages this week and it was really hard to stick to the first draft and keep everything 6 shot neutral. My preference is to have arrays where you can get creative and 6 vs 8 shots doesn't matter so much.

Okay so I'm a bit daft here, but you found out what it takes to make the gun run and you're not doing it, deliberately? Procure some Winchester or Federal brass, make your load and run the gun. Remington 9mm doesn't fit in the standard clips so snugly. It's clearly an issue with wall thickness and possibly chamber finishing on the starline brass. I'm running 115-147-165's all loaded with TG in all kinds of brass with no troubles. I finally worked enough brass to get batches of Federal sufficient to load and I did that. Good luck!

I think multiple people have politely suggested to you that this is a problem that doesn't need fixing. Your partner came in after the water had cleared and tried to lend credibility to you by stating you had some ability given your screen name elsewhere. Then you stirred the waters up again.
Your idea is a bad one this time because it is actively trying to offset the advantage gained in the higher power factor. You simply cannot uninvent the forty caliber guns. Would it be interesting to see a stage or too shot with a .45 vs. a 9mm to see if major or minor is better? Sure why not. Since forty bridges the gap in power, diameter, and magazine capacity, it is the best choice for limited under the current rules for most shooters. Since the racker, *thumb rest [generic]*, and 6" barrels have come into favor, I cannot see a disadvantage to shooting either minor or major. Well I see one disadvantage, if you don't make minor, you might as well save your ammo. I feel like a six inch 9mm gun is just as competitive as a five inch .40. Accuracy, power, speed....in that order. Risk vs. Reward.

If you have a gun that costs X and a match fee Y. Y<0.5X or Y is less than 20% of X. Ammo costs C and is an interesting variable as C<Y>C and C<X>C. It can cost less or more than your match fee depending upon your reloading savvy, round count, and component cost. It can also cost more or less than your gun given your reloading ability and ammunition quality. So if the variable for the squib is CF and has the ability to cost you Xⁿ and Y all at once, why would you ever leave yourself open to multiple CF's by continuing with questionable ammo?
I think we need a rule change. If you have a squib, you're done for the day. Scored as DNF because up until that point you were in the running, but your ammo is not safe for you to carry on competing. Why should you be entitled to delay the match again?

Why not use a PMAG or a Glock 17rd mag and be dollars ahead? You'd probably still make weight and have ? one more round in the magazine when you dabble in applications where you are loading more than 10+1. This doesn't make sense to put capacity enhancements on a little magazine. Please don't tell us that you're worried about over insertion. People either slow down on the reload of the baby Glocks or they get blood blisters in their palms...I'm in the later camp.

I analyzed why my ranch 10mm clips failed and bent. The area between the inside of the space where the shell clips in and the extractor cut is where the least amount of steel is. All the ranch stuff folded here. So I shipped my cylinder to Dave Hearth and said make this area as wide and the clips as thick as possible. Dave did just that and guess what? They are still kicking...
Revolver supply looks lacking in this area from what I could see. Buy once. Cry once.

I was not there. I read the article in the magazine, read between the lines, filled in the blanks and was disgusted with the individual, who was my shooting idol. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and asked a prominent shooter who was there and my disgust was sadly renewed. I haven't sanded logos off my grips, but I do have a plan to have a couple of side plates re-engraved...
As to affecting the match results, one can never truly say that it did not. While the effect to the morale of each shooter affected by this call is not empirically quantifiable, you'd better believe one man knew better than to shoot another perfect double on that squad. To say it didn't affect the match is like denying the effect of a morale swing caused by a go ahead goal in the third period of game seven of the Stanley Cup finals or a red zone interception in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl.
Sorry about all the affect vs. effect and I hope I got it all correct. Also, I believe that we have gotten far away from the original topic, so I'm done here. Apologies.

Start position: Facing downrange standing erect hands relaxed at sides.
What it needs to say: Stand up straight! No, not like crouching tiger hidden gunman. Feet flat on the ground shoulder width apart. Arms relaxed and hands relaxed; no muscles tensed. Nose pointed at the lateral center of the berm assuming downrange start. Chin parallel to the ground.
You can watch a guy well over six feet tall lose a foot of height getting into his relaxed shooting stance.

I'd say a shooter using his influence to override the scoring call on the range of the RO because he was behind at the moment combined with the disaster of a reshoot makes for "not a clean race." I'm not making any accusations. You read it and you tell me what you think. Here's the link:

I humbly submit two things to Ty's post. #1 You have huge hands. That gun looks like a snubnosed revolver. #2 The year that Matt came in second to Jerry was not a clean race IIRC. Be that as it may, Matt is a great shooter and I respect him.

I have heard that the rescomps were not very stable at 22 rounds. I mean that they should only be topped off right before use and babied. Is this true?

Okay so number one it's 33.3···% increase in Revolver division, not 34%. It would round down to 33%, not up. It also changed the game completely by eliminating those standing reloads that were pivotal.
What you suggest with the happy making change to 170mm magazines to allow for more equality in Limited between major and minor is also a game changer. With the addition on the racker and a *thumb rest [generic]*, you're most of the way to an open gun with recoil control and prop-ability. So now we give 30 rounds and less recoil in a gun that is almost compensated, which gives it the ability to finish many stages without reloading and faster splits. Why not 170mm mags for all power factors? Then you can have 24 vs. 30 and have a 25% capacity increase....140mm mags already look stupid, so 170's can't possibly hurt worse...
Why can't you folks leave well enough alone? There's definitely nothing broken in Limited.

I haven't had any problems so far. I've only put around 3,000 through my 929's with mixed brass. Nothing stands out other than the sights sucking and the performance improvements not done in the center.

I'm not sure about that. I believe the cylinder on the 929 is shorter. I have 929's and load 9mm for production and revolver. I'm thinking you should stick with a 627 if you already have other .357's...less bullets hanging around unless you load volume for a 9mm already.I guess depending on the barrel's groove diameter I could order a 929 and then fit a 357 cylinder later on if I really got the urge.

A second per shot and a four pound trigger pull minimum. Well I shoot a revolver, so that doesn't affect me, but the second person shot jazz is just plain meddlesome going toward being more different. Next they'll have you sign an oath renouncing any allegiance to any other shooting sports prior to LAMR.
I think this rule change will be a great boost for production division.
When did people become terrified of having to be accurate?

The extractor has to remain square somewhere in the 627 to enable the ejection of loose rounds. If you were to commit to never again shooting loose rounds through the gun, you could chamfer everything aggressively.

I thought it had all but been decided that a 65 or 66 was the best gun for speedloaders with the charge holes being so close together.
