  1. Purchased a B14 HMR way back when they were first offered. Took 90 days to arrive but was well worth the wait. EXCELLENT choice as starter rifle for PRS,  just smacking steel at the range or a great choice as a hunting rifle. Highly recomment !!!

  2. All great advice -

Simplest fix is the Cheely 90 mt.

Tuning the ext may also solve prob but could take some time to get it right.

Definitely need 500+ rds breakin, lots light oil to start while its tight.

Its a GREAT gun & should run fine w most factory 115s after breakin.

    Have fun !!!

  3. So it's pure dumb luck if I get an Edge 9mm and it runs well?

No, you have that backwards...its dumb luck if yours does NOT run. People with bad expirences are far more vocal the satisfied folks.

If you start changing or modifing parts and it doesn't run...well, that's not luck...

Factory stock STI, 1.155-1.160, eight factory stock 140 mags - ZERO FTF in over 7500 rds.

  4. Hello: The shock buff can sometimes cause a lot of problems. When they wear they can slow the slide down by rubbing on it. They can also cause a bounce effect that messes up ejection. I don't use them and have not seen a problem when the gun is built right. I saw an open gun Benny Hill built that was on it's 3rd rebarrel with well over 100,000 rounds through it and it still was shooting great with original slide and frame. Thanks, Eric

    Amen !!!

  5. For anyone considering a 930JM (especially if you have a limited 3gun budget) -

Everyone who posted about keeping the piston etc clean are 100% correct !

    I've owned (2) Benellis, a 930JM, a Berreta 1301 and now have a 2nd new 930JM - ALL are great SGs but if you're on a "budget" you can't beat the 930.

My current one has the only the lifter welded (CRums) the loading port opened up, stock mag tube & follower sanded and smoothed, and a brighter FO sight.

It'll run 400-450+ of any type 2-3/4" shells 100%. And after a bit of practice load2 is smooth and EZ.

Don't hesitate to get a 930JM if you're not wanting to spend $12-1500 or are a less than gung ho serious 3 gunner ...........................

    :D:D:D

  6. Bkruetz is right on - concentrate on (ONLY) the dot on the a zone, the iron front sight is not and will not "be in the way".

Unless you feel the need to have the irons as a backup, in the (unlikely) event of a battery failure, they will go unnoticed if you practice with an learn the advantages of the red dot.

The Deltapoint triangle is pretty large, theres no "confusion" between it and the front sight .........
