Have the same Leupold 7.5 dot on my CORE and it works well
-
fxdc: I'd like to see a photo of your open gun once it's complete. My next M&P purchase will be a CORE model.
For those of you that have had your M&P magnaported do they do different size ports or configurations based on you shooting a minor load versus a major load? I would be building my CORE as a steel gun where you don't have any power factors.
Don't think so - MagnaPort decided dimensions, no options offered as far as I could find (except for "regular" MP of 2 ports, vs 4 ports for QuadraPort).

And great customer service via email

Less than 2 weeks fm ship out to return !

Just got my CORE back from MP QuadraPort - about $300 returned.
Shoots nice and flat, factory 115gr makes minor PF .............................

I don't believe that 930 need to be cleaned as often as some would have you think. This gun came in to have the loading port opened and the lifter welded. It was running just fine on light target loads, not to say that I think you should run your gun as dirty and dry as this one was but its proof that they will run like this.
WOW

Great info in this thread - I was seriously considering trading my 930 JM for a Versamax ..........
After trying some of the advice on this forum I'm probably going to stick w/ the 930.

GREAT info - Thanks

THANKS for all the replies - Nordic follower on order !
-
Just got mine about 30 days ago and so far it functions OK -
BUT - the mag tube shell follower seems really "finiky" - when practicing loading, the follower hangs up in the tube too often, but it does NOT do this with live fire.
So I'm wondering if the above may be from dirt or build up in the tube ?
My factory spring got out of shape from several teardowns and I replaced it with a Nordic (re-shaped both ends), and yes, I have polished the follower and smoothed the inner edges of both the mag tube and extension.
Do you guys clean the gun frequently or can they go 4-500 rds without causing any of the above issues ?
THANKS for any input !!!

I'm going to disaasemble my 935 trigger group tomorrow and see if it's correct ...........................

Maybe the plunger is missing from in front of the hammer spring? There are a few threads on here that have detailed disassembled trigger groups. I'll try to find a pic.
That would be GREAT, I would appreciate it !!!

Thanks again !

Yes, I can see the hammer fall through slot on RS behind bolt.
I do have an email in to C-Rums asking if the trigger group was disassembled.
Will search here & try to find threads relating to this prob.
THANKS !!!

This week I installed a Glockworx 12 Lb (blue) spring and SS guide rod with plug in my Gen4 G34.
Just home from the range this morning - using factory 115 gr ammo had many FTF and the blue paint turned to "gunk" which was caked all over the inside of the pistol. I did have a 14 lb (red) spring with me, but after seeing the mess from the blue spring I went back to stock for the rest of the morning.
Will try 13 & 15 lb ISMI springs next, not going to use any more painted springs ....................................

I bought a Mossberg 930 JM for 3 gun about 45 days ago.
It functioned 100% shooting about 100 rds as shipped by Mossberg. The ONLY mod is I sent the trigger group to C-Rums to have the lifter welded - Jeff did a good job and turned it around in only one week.
Re-installed the trigger group, went to the range this morning to test and it does NOT fire.
I have zero experience and knowledge of this gun so am at a loss of what to look for - the unfired shells have NO primer dent. It loads and feeds OK, the bolt goes all the way closed ....................................
Some one smarter than me with any suggestions ???
THANKS in advance !

This has probably already been discussed -
I'm coming back to USPSA after a LONG layoff, purchased a 5" CORE on a whim - wondering if it can be used for either Limited or Production ???
THANKS in advance !

After sighting my Deltapoint, it was co-witnessed with the irons. The front sight was a bit distracting but 2 practice sessions later its no longer an issue.
