  2. I only had the pleasure of meeting Eddie once, but I could tell he was my kind of person. Very gracious and happy to spend his time with us to interview after a long weekend. I wish I got to know him more. I can tell by this thread he was a popular guy, and its no mystery why.

  6. Yes, our web site is up however it still needs a lot of work yet. One of several things we're working on is a tournament results section where we'll post the results from each match, then the results overall for the 3GN series. The stages we used for points at Superstition was 3, 4, 5, 6. We decided on 4 stages for points at each match so we could designate a flat score value for each match (100 points x 4 stages) for the 3GN series. We were also looking to select stages that have 3 guns involved, although that's not always possible, we're trying to use as many "3" gun stages as possible. This helps us keep the series as consistent as we can for everyone, and helps if your only attending 3 out of the 5 available matches on the series. You only need to attend 3 matches to get enough scores to be counted toward the championship series, however you can shoot all 5 and drop your worst 2 scores. And our TV show will be profiling each match as a whole, not just the 3GN aspect. We want to profile the sport through the prism of each match. Also remember that the shoot-off is for extra prizes, it has no bearing on 3GN points. It also has no bearing on the actual match itself. That said, if you sign up for 3GN and don't make the shoot off, OR your division doesn't have 10 3GN shooters, your POINTS STILL COUNT TOWARD THE SERIES!! Make the top 64 cut and you could be invited to our championship where we'll be giving away 25k for first place, $10k for second and $5k for third!!! Plus an upper from Lewis Machine, a Mark 4 Scope from Leupold, a gun from FNH (TBD) as well as other prizes from SureFire, ReVision, Under Armor, Federal, Weaver, 511 Tactical and more. It will be held the Monday after the USPSA Multi-Gun Nationals. 1 extra day in Vegas. AND, if for what ever reason people don't want to sign up, that's more chances for you for the money. And like ken said, its FREE.

  9. About the shows, I'll be posting videos on our website www.3gunnation.com this week. The finished show will air on VERSUS in July and I hope to be able to make DVD's available for purchase. I'll check the network requirements but I think we can post the finished show after it is through its air cycle
  10. I think they said that a division had to have 10 competitors to get one "slot" to the shot-off. Btw, are there any plans on making the shows available online when they've aired in the US? I have quite a few friends in Europe that are very interested in watching the shows. Your absolutely right, we need 10 competitors to have enough to allocate a slot in the shoot off. We allocate the 8 slots based on the number of 3GN competitors in each division (percentage based on participation). So 1 more tac iron shooter would have put the top tac iron shooter in. There were 360 contestants in the match overall, and only 130 signed up with us. Its FREE and if everyone signed up a tac iron competitor would have probably had a chance to be in the shoot off.
  11. Hey Everyone, Thanks so much for such a great match at Superstition Mountain. It was great to see everybody and we had a lot of fun. Superstition staff, RO's, Scorekeepers, Dan Furbee, Polle, so many people who work so hard for a first class match. We were really proud to be a part of it and we hope everyone had a good time. Computer crashes aside, the match went great and I hope we can be a part of it again next year. We'll be posting videos this week!
  12. Hey Folks, just a reminder we'll be on hand at registration for Superstition Mountain on Thursday all day. Its FREE of charge and even if you don't make the shoot-off, your points are counted towards the series. We're taking the top 64 for the championship where we'll be giving away $25k for first place, $10k for 2nd place and $5k for third place. CASH. We're also putting together a prize package which will include SureFire, FNH and Federal, Leupold products.
  13. What's the first date it will air? Monday, July 26
  14. Yes, it will air Mondays at 7:30 am and Thursday's at 3:00 pm on Versus
  15. Each match will have 1 shoot off. We plan on it taking an hour – or hopefully less. We set this up in an attempt to have a minimal impact on the form and flow of the match itself. The series of matches (5) will determine the final roster for the Championship (the number we have now is the top 64, but will confirm soon). One of the reasons we went with 4 stages was to pick stages at each match which used all 3 guns – and focus on them as our 3GN points generators. This will help us highlight what the context of the 3GN tournament series and TV show is all about – and what helps to highlight how 3-Gun is different and unique from other shooting sports. The whole match and the overall match winner will be covered, not strictly the 4 points stages and the 3GN shoot off winner. We will not declare the 3GN winner the match winner. It is important to show how large and diverse each match is – and skill sets involved beyond just the 4 3GN stages. Each episode has roughly 22 min. of run time, so we will have our work cut out for us, but we will be looking at the entire sport and each match from head to toe.
  16. No, anyone can sign up and make the shoot off for the $5k. If you want to qualify for the Championship event you need to shoot at least 3 out of the 5 matches.
  17. On another note, we started our own YouTube Channel, and our web site is coming out in about a week which will include a bunch of bonus footage from each event. So check it out when Superstititon is over, we'll be posting vids directly after. It will all be shot broadcast quality so good clarity and audio, you may see yourself or your friends on there (that is if my cams don't become part of the target array).
  18. Yes we are! Looking forward to it, I understand that its a real physical event, which is pretty cool.
  19. We expect the shoot off to take approximately 50 minutes to 1 hour.
  20. Yes, the shoot off will take place immediately following the arbitration period. We will start announcing the competitors and drawing the match ups before hand so we can be ready to go just as soon as the arbitration period is complete.
