  3. All, we would like to comment on why 3GN has opened up the Qual Match to all Semi-Pro competitors from 2012: We don't enjoy making changes late in the game, but the fact is we had low participation for this particular match – as it is the first one of its kind for 3GN. We want the best shooters we can get, and just as importantly the ones that want to be there! Regardless, the 16 available slots for the 3-Gun Nation pro series will still have to be earned through this qualifier match in St. Augustine – and based on the names that have registered thus far, this should be a great match. Also, we can appreciate those that feel $1,300 for the four (4) following Pro Series matches is a high cost, as it is on the surface. But of course it is 100% payback, includes sponsored prize money, tv coverage and more. They were also created for a 1-day format to minimize time spent away from home and work. We certainly don't claim to be the only game in 3-gun, we never have. Giving the masses the level of coverage we feel the sport deserves, as best we can, in hopes to continue to drive new interest to the sport. Which we hope continues to result in more major Outlaw matches, and a big groundswell at the local level through programs such as our new Club Series. That's our philosophy - give the sport of 3-gun exposure, programs and prize incentives at every possible level – Pro, Outlaw Majors, ladies, juniors, local clubs and more. Our mission is to increase participation across the board, and grow the sport as a whole. So for those who have signed up for the semi-pro series in 2012 – and want to make a run at the game's best, feel free to contact us at contact@3gunnation.com. Also feel free to email us with any other questions you may have in the future. Also, you'll get a faster response to forum questions at http://3gn.ar15.com/forums/b/13_3_Gun_Nation.html. - 3GN 3GN Opens Qualifier Match to All Semi-Pros Posted on 1/23/2013 Calling All 3-Gun Nation Semi-Pros! 5. All, It has come to our attention that this year's point system, aimed at giving competitors interested in qualifying for the 3GN Championship the freedom to switch divisions as they please, has some unintended consequences. So we are reviewing the process, with input from competitors, and will revise the rules accordingly. Our goal is to get the most deserving competitors into the 3GN Championship. Sincerely, Chad Adams 3-Gun Nation

  8. 3GN Championship Set For Las Vegas The FNH USA 3-Gun Nation Tour, Presented by SureFire, will culminate its inaugural season with the 3GN Championship Sept. 13 at the Desert Sportsman’s Rifle & Pistol Club in Las Vegas, where the top 3-gunners in the country will be battling for $40,000. The 3GN Championship wraps up the ground-breaking new tournament series, with 50 competitors earning their right to compete based on points accumulated throughout the season. Also, 10 slots will be up for grabs at this year’s USPSA Multi-Gun Nationals, giving 60 shooters an invitation to claim the 3GN National Championship of 3-gun and the grand prize of $25,000, courtesy of Leupold. The second place finisher will take home a check for $10,000, courtesy of US P.A.L.M., while third place pays $5,000, courtesy of Timney Triggers. The event will be held in cooperation with USPSA. As such, USPSA rules will be used for division and equipment classification, and the 3GN Championship will be run as a Tactical Optics (or Standard Tactical) match. However, scoring will follow IMGA rules, such as used as DPMS Superstition Mountain Mystery 3-Gun. Andy Horner, a veteran competitive shooter and match director for the annual Sabre Defence Blue Ridge Mountain 3-Gun, will be the match director and stage designer for the 3GN Championship. “Andy is going to add so much to our match,” said Pete Brown, President, 3-Gun Nation. “The stages are going to be fast and exciting to watch, yet they’ll blend in Andy’s ability to make them extremely challenging as well. This will be a fitting exclamation point to what we think will be the season that forever redefines the sport of 3-gun.” The one-day match will comprise of four stages of fire, and competitors will use their own gear during the first four traditional stages. At this time, Horner is working with USPSA and range officials to incorporate the use of all three guns on each stage. However, the stage designs are subject to change, and the stages will not be posted prior to the match. Ultimately, competitors should expect an extremely challenging course of fire. “The shooters making it into the 60 slots of the 3-Gun Nation Championship match should expect stages to challenge their abilities with all three guns,” Horner said. Upon completion of the four traditional stages, the top 16 will advance to the 3GN shoot-off format, where competitors will then switch to 3GN sponsor equipment. Those competitors will be seeded according to their overall score from the match, and entered into a 16-man, head-to-head, single elimination tournament bracket. “3-Gun Nation is going to expose thousands of shooters and non-shooters to the sport of 3-gun competition on a regular basis,” Horner said. “This exposure should grow the sport, and thereby benefit not only our shooters, but the companies in the shooting industry who support 3-gun competitions. By providing an exciting and challenging match, we hope to energize viewers to come out and participate in 3-gun matches—which is the most fun you can have in competitive shooting.” The match fee will be $150, payable onsite during the Multi-Gun Nationals, or on the morning of the 3GN Championship. For more information, contact Chad Adams at Chad@3gunnation.com. 12. Here's a little tidbit I put together from the shoot off. Congrats again to Robbie and to Denise and JJ for a wonderful match! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAW9S4rvcg4
  13. Hulu only carries select programs from the networks, and the network has to pay Hulu to put it on, so 3GN is the low man on the totem pole first season. However, you can now watch full episodes on 3gunnation.com/tv. We can only post shows after they have aired and we just got transferred to a server that handles files that large. We plan to post a new show each week, show 1 is up now. Thanks.
  14. VERSUS has begun posting clips from each episode at http://www.versus.com/shows/3-gun-nation/ Sign in and let them know "I'm In" THANKS!!!
  15. A big thanks to squad 6, Andy, Ben, Al, George, Chris, and Sean, who loaned me gear, helped me understand stage breakdowns, gave instruction and ultimately baby sitted me through the match. 18. 3GN has opened arbitration for all scores posted from the previous four qualifying matches that have taken place thus far. The arbitration period for those matches will close at the end of registration day, Aug. 4, at the JP Rocky Mountain 3-Gun. At the conclusion of the JP RM3G, 3-Gun Nation will post both the results from RM3G and the top 50 qualifiers for the 3GN Championship. All arbitration for RM3G scores must be completed immediately following the event. With that process completed, 3GN can then publish the top 50 qualifiers for the 3GN Championship, held Sept. 13 in Las Vegas, where one winner will take home $25,000, courtesy of Leupold. Also, the 2nd place finisher will receive $10,000, courtesy of US P.A.L.M., and 3rd place will receive $5,000, courtesy of Timney Triggers. Other top finishers in the match will win prizes from FNH USA, SureFire, Federal Premium, Weaver Optics, Brownells, Leupold, Vortex Optics, Revision, Mac Tools, Lewis Machine & Tool, Otis, 5.11 Tactical, Under Armour and much more. 19. Hey everyone! there is a detailed article posted on our web site and the listing of the 41 competitors that have qualified thus far. After Rocky Mountain, many will have completed the 3 minimum matches and I'm sure the top 50 will shake up dramatically. The rest of the field – and their 3GN scores from all the matches will be posted as well, we expect it to be up this week. http://www.3gunnation.com/ We'll post the top 50 asap after the Rocky Mountain match so folks can make their plans. Thought you guys changed it to 2 minimum matches since BRM 3-Gun got cancelled or have you added another match to the list???????? Thanks! 2 best scores are counted (within the same division). 3 match minimum to qualify. (So that if you shot BRM as one of your qualifiers, it still counts toward your 3 match minimum - since it got rained out). Which is why JoJo and Mike V. aren't in the top 50 yet, they've not shot the 3 match minimum yet. After RM it will shake up the standings.
