  1. I cut the hooks on the factory hammer when I installed the CGW parts. I could probably go more, but I'm happy with it now.

Did that help with pre travel in single action, mine breaks almost at the back of the trigger guard

  2. What we have observed in our shop on the CZC/CZ-UB is the hammer hooks are taller than the CGW 91000 performance hammer. The CGW Short Reset System for the P-09 is designed to work with a very short hammer hook height, in this case our 91000, so you get that 1911 or near 1911 like break we all love.

If your P-09 will not work with the CZC/CZ-UB hammer, the problem is most likely the hammer hook height. It's not that difficult to carefully lower the hooks on this hammer. I am confident Stuart at CZC, or CGW can help if needed.

Thanks schmeky for answering my questions on Sat, I actually removed all the upgrade parts only because I would have to use the CGW hammer to get the P09 to run flawless but unfortunately the hammer is not Production legal.

Talked with Stuart today about the pre travel, you need to figure out how to reduce that please

  3. I think it's around 16 to 18 lbs, but if your going to use it to compete most of us use a 11 lb recoil spring and a 13 lb hammer spring

  4. First not sure about the 16 round mags but it should work with the mag well I use factory 18's withe long extension pads it works fine

Second yes the ghost one works great with my CZ 75 open gun and my CZ 75 SA

  5. Ok I have a SP01 in 9mm. I'm thinking about something in 40 S&W to shoot production with.

You've arguably got the best Production platform in the most popular Production caliber, what sparks the interest in a 40 Stock II? Just wanting to try a Stock II and the 40s are easier to get?

An SP01 vs Stock II debate can go on all day (I know, I have both and can't decide which I like better :eatdrink: ), but it might be worth noting that a friend of mine who owns safe full of Stock IIs is now shooting a Shadow

    I know that guy
  6. I have a 90 degree Quinn mount I used on my CZ 75 open gun using a c more but have since switched to the cheely mount that we cut down and a RTS I still have the Quinn pm me .you will have to have holes machined but that is the

only way for a stable mount otherwise you can go the dove tail mount on the slide

  7. Yeah, i thought the list of possible slides would be short. Tanfoglio seems to make so many different models, some they dont import here, that I never know if there is something ELSE that will work

As for where i got the barrel, I found a guy who has a small, but steady stream of Tanfo parts - typically top ends and barrels. He will go for a while and not have anything, and then get a few things in

Over the past 4 months or so, i've purchased from him:

Complete top ends / conversion kits:

    10mm Limited

    38 Super Limited

    45 ACP Match

    Barrels:

    Gold Team 9mm

TWO 9mm Limiteds. One of which I'd be willing to put in on trade for something

All the stuff has been NIB, or LNIB (unfired, but may have some small handling marks, and a couple things had some small corrosion spots from someone

handling them & then not oiling them up for storage)

I dont know if its normal for Tanfo barrels, but all look like they were fitted to a gun, but not fired. Fitting looks factory.

Anyways, the guy has good prices, ships fast, and is nice to deal with.

NOTE - I have ZERO relationship with this guy, except for buying parts from him. I benefit nothing on any sale, except helping fellow Tanfo enthusiasts get parts

Also, I'm new to this board, so I hope this didn't sound like an ad for the guy or anything. I only responded b/c I was asked. If I stepped on any toes just let me know....

If you want the guys contact info send me a PM. I told him I'd be happy to pass his info along to people who might want some of his stuff

Send me a pm with his info

    Thanks

  8. I installed the extreme hammer and trigger and did not change the sear or any new pins. What I did have to do is refit the safety I used a file and did a little at a time and until the safety would engage. I was in contact with my gunsmith who is a good friend and he walked me thru it. All I can say is wow what a huge difference in the trigger no stacking anymore I also installed Eric's extreme firing pin and reduced power spring and Jennings guide rod oh and I used a ball point spring cut down for the plunger

  9. By the way Stuart I will be at area 2 this year hope to catch up to you and hang out for a few. Going to shoot Production this year but will bring my open gun maybe you'll get a chance to put some rounds down range with it if you can spare the time

  10. Both awesome to deal with David has always spent what ever time I needed and answered every question with detail. Stuart is a top notch guy have dealt with him on the phone or by pm and he is always a vast source of knowledge and help had the chance to meet him last November when I came out to shoot the area 2 match I let him drool all over my open gun. He was very gracious and gave me and my buddy a personal tour of their facility.
