the above quote hasn't been answered yet. anybody tried using .354 heads in their .38 super open pistol? can you use the .354 dia. heads safely and reliably in a .38 super schuemann barrel (.355 dia)?

P16-40. EE Litespeed hammer set, STI sear spring, Ti strut and cap, 17# ISMI mainspring, 12.5# ISMI recoil spring, extra power fp spring. 1.75# trigger pull. No light strikes. Tried the 15# ISMI hammer spring, got some duds, changed back to the 17#

my cmore lens has a lot of scratches on it and it is affecting the dot's reflection. anyone ever replace their cmore lens before? how hard was it?

The Duracell 1/3N and Energizer 2L76 is so hard to find here that we use 2 Energizer A76/LR44 watch batteries and they work fine.

thanks eric and jon! the pistol's in its break-in stage and so far it has been running great. batangueno and i shot a level 1 match yesterday to try out the pistol and my hand is now aching from the sharp edges of the polymer grip! i noticed that the dot was lifting and oscillating up to the right but stays inside the cmore lens. watching our videos, the pistol recoil was very flat. now i have to test with different grip pressures and stances first. tyvm!

thank you for the tips guys! eric nielsen replied in another thread about lowering the right edge of the comp to decrease the dot torquing to the right. i'll try to experiment with different grip pressures and stances first and see if the oscillation decreases and the dot lift becomes more straight up and down.

same here. my red dot tracks up and right from the torque. what things should i check and do to get the dot to track up and down. i can't find any specific answers to my questions using the search function. currently iam using a 5 in. barrel in .38 super w/ a 3 chamber comp and 4 side ports. i'm using 124 gr fmj w/ 8.0gr 3n37 i'm still waiting for the egw conversion cone so i can mount my bedell titanium comp. tyvm to everyone!

eric: my open pistol's red dot also tracks up and to the right. what other things should i try before enlarging the chambers to straighten the dot lift? how much do you take off the right side of the comp? and you modify all the chambers, correct? i'm using 124gr fmj w/ 8.0gr 3n37 in a 5in. barrel

1 have 2 sti and 2 svi magazines for the new pistol. the sti has ismi springs and sti followers. i can load 21 in the sti magazines. the svi mags are longer than the sti. i have gram's engineering follower and spring kit in the svi tubes but can only load 18. i thought that the svi tubes being longer and w/o the double ribs in the mag body can load more or at least 20 in but cannot. why is this so?

i was able to break-in my new sps open pistol at the range today. all it needs now is a trip to the platers!

i asked my gunsmith if they can cut the built in magwell bec. i wanted to use an aluminum well. the original polymer grip gets beat up really fast from repeated magazine insertion. anybody knows if the sti grip will interchange and properly fit an sps frame?

but we'll send all our ammo waayyy ahead of time to be sure it gets there on time! hahahaha!

the 773's look smaller but are actually bulkier than the 771's, imho. my 771 glock pouches also fit my sti/svi mags

dan, what's your recommended load for .38 super using your Ti comp? I'm using a non-ported barrel. We have Vihtavuori powder available. 3n37, 3n38 & n340
