  1. congrats to Craig Buckland / and Tom Yost for making it to DM
  2. thanks for encouragement I just ordered erlier today a bcg plus series , one of their least expensive gun in brazos and shorter wait time/ Ingi says it should be ready in about 3 weeks, by that time we are already snow free here in CT. wohooooo.
  3. Thanks guys . someone gave me a solution . If I plan to use it for lim 10 simply change the slide lock mech to make it work / then replace back if i decide for limited... the only other catch is I might need to use two different sets of magazine. Im not familiar with 2011 still need to learn it .
  4. I am planning to buy a 2011 from Bob / brazos... i normally shoot production and IDPA since I start shooting last year ... I want to move into limited and limited 10 . this coming season . Bob told me that his custom made doesnt go to slide lock . is this something that might concern me if I to use it for L-10? another thing any big difference on 5 inch or 6 inch gun? any input is highly appreciated.
  5. from what Im getting it looks like a custom sti is a better choice, by the way I know sti has this competition incentive for those who use their gun and wear sti shirt during the match / do the custom made sti qualified for that?
  6. Hi everyone, I wish to invest my hard earned money to get a descent competition limited gun , something I can beat during practice and rely on during match. I dont care about its look as long as it will give me the best posible performance. order time and budget also counts.. is it wise to just maybe buy the sti apeiro? or stock edge? 6 inch or 5 inch?
  7. Hey thank you for this great tip ... Ill take this to higher level by means of doing these while watching I curly with my kids hehehe
  8. this is a great thread .. I would contribute a maybe basic stuff that works for me.. Im a dad of 2 children . spending time alot in dryfire and practice sometimes is a guilty feeling that is almost a reason for me to give up shooting competitively . to be competitive you really need to find way to improve . heres what I found so far . I teach my daughters to play tennis . their skill is enough for me to chase the ball and hit back sofly without compromising my shooting arms.. Im intentionally trying to chase the ball like I was performing the exiting and entering drills . its actually more fun than spending time in dry fire routine . I think it helps me horn my eye coordination too + grip.
  9. thanks for the answer ' The RO's call is right" thank god I didnt even try arguing about it lol ... my 2nd went bad finishing 5th and cost me 20pts + / the re shoot is fun its like eating extra apple for free it just happens that apple is rotten
  10. I shoot a major match recently , I think I performed well on a difficult stage with fast time and good hits / possibly a stage win . suddenlly the RO told me that I had to reshoot because someone had taped one metric target just before he gets there to call the hits , despite the plea by the shooter who taped the target that he knew what the hit is , and that he though he was already asked to start taping. the RO insisted that I have to reshoot. the shooter apologized to me , I knew he had an honest mistake , but Im not sure if the RO made the right call about asking me to reshoot. are they not suppose to trust the competitors they asked for help taping ?
  11. yes bob I see your video, I think in general terms belly is more of liability, Ill just train to shoot with stance similar to sevigny and vogel. by the way I was there in freeport where you shoot at last july 11.
  12. I normally work evening and night / 16 hrs shift every friday, the local club here in my area do a great 6 stage saturday am IDPA. erlier this month I went there after my work, I been placing excuses beforehand to my friends that I might mess this up because I didnt sleep yet for more than 24 hrs. much to my surprise Im playing with pure adrenalin . I only mess up one stage gaining 1 procedural but I finished 3rd out of 60+ shooter , and claimed my first big match division champion.
  13. Yeah I know .. Hes like Master Yoda of uspsa...
  14. I read the book I ordered from brianenos last month , and applied it to my match last week. I make my self believe that Im the best shooter on that match .. Im so relaxed and shooting really good. I shoot production but my performance is good enough to came close to the Open guy who win the match . I just found out that guy finished 12th Open class in a recent area match.. its my first division thropy match win. I owe my improvement to this forum.
  15. thanks flex. of course my intent is always hit the A in A zone when exposed. but with involvement of speed in equation somehow my 2nd shot always falls lower. I just notice it . Im just trying to find out if it is normal or I can use it to any advantage.
  16. thanks for the info G-man, I found this vidwo of sevigny on 2:54 that is the kind of hit pattern Im talking about, I just notice my hit pattern is kind of like this consistently when I AKA double tap... Im new to this sport, Im still in analytical stage of the game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkw9y7nijWg&feature=related
  17. When you shoot 2 rallying shots , Do you most of times expect your first hit to be higher than the 2nd... does anyone notice this?
  18. its the factory recoil spring, I would still use the old one for practice and save the new one for the match... Im cheap thats why I shoot glock. thanks for your feed, I will do that when I finally decided to use lighter spring once I get a plastic guide rod.
  19. OK I will stop experimenting with TACTICAL TUMMY, Im glad benos forum is here to answer this question, I just cant ask people who has big belly in match they might get offended. I was looking on many GM I noticed that lots of them has that tactical belly and they seem to shoot fast and accurate.
  20. Do you find your self shooting more accurate when you have bigger belly or flat belly? is it true that the bigger the belly the more recoil control you have?
  21. I found the answer from many experienced glock boys in a major match last week, they all considering changing it at least every 5000 rounds, the part is 8 dollars worth, its wiser to have it replace than risking messing up your match.
  22. I recently experience cycling problem with my G-34, my PF is 135+, havent change my recoil spring since I got my 34, I had spent at least 12,000 rounds in it, Do you think that is the cause of my Failure to feed. it only happen recently. any thoughts will be appreciated.
  23. thanks guys for the comparative info, I will try the waist stow, Ill see if it works for me., If not Ill get my tactical oversize pants.
  24. when slide lock reload is not the option / ( due to course of fire requirement etc ), which pocket is the best to use, front pants pocket or back, or vest pocket? and is vest pocket legal to use?
