  1. Bullets from Ares are great but not in a polygon-barrel. In my 2011 .40 they are the best bullet I have tried and You can download them quite a bit and still be within major PF.

The downside is that my Glock 17 dosen't like them at all.

Says more about the Glock than the bullets...

  2. I'd also get Ben Stoeger's book...Eagerly awaiting the delivery! Visit his website and you'll see why.

    Doodie Project? =)

I'll check out Andersons Dry Fire-book.

Been looking at Kirsch's "Thinking..." but seems it's more match prep etc. Maybe I'll buy them both anyway,

Thanks for all the tips but still not "it".

  3. Got Brian Enos book and find it great. Now I'm looking for a book that covers tactics on stage.

For example how to use the walkthrough, movement, where and when to reload etc, in short everything You do on stage except pulling the trigger.

The winter is long and I need something to read.

  4. Tried it and will not use it.

My PPC9 that has been running flawlessly started to act funny when Frog'ed, especially when cold. Gave it som ATF and it was back to normal.

A CZ Czechmate that didn't run a at match because of FL, same there, some good ol' oil and it was back in action.

That stuff will not come close to my guns.

  5. Stages should be competitive... not a trap where shooters get sent home.

    Spot on!

Can't think of any good arguments for putting targets on or close to the 180. Close to 180 for a right hand shooter can be directly on for a left hand shooter.

It's just plain stupid design that intentionally puts the shooter in a bad spot with no margins for safety.

  6. Do You seat the bullet and crimp with the same tool? If so then back out the crimp, set the OAL and then re-adjust the crimp.

If it starts to crimp before the bullet is seated they will be crooked.

Check brass with primer side first in a case gauge or in the barrel. If it chambers the brass is OK and the problem is with the bullet seating.
