okay ill put the question for the test on here
A competitor activates a moving target by stepping on a stomp pad but after the target is activated the cable snaps. After completing the course of fire, the competitor wants to re-shoot because the stomp pad was rendered inoperable. You should:
A - Kick him in the nuts for being an idiot
B - laugh in his face and ridicule him on facebookC - all the above
C the correct answer is always C -

I would really like to, but it is the exact time as SMM3-G, and always has been right around that time frame. Just can't get to both, although I would like to!
Yeah, we purposely set a different date, 3rd weekend in March, when we started 7 years ago. To not schedule over them, they changed this year to the 3rd weekend.

Registration is open, prize table is growing, slots are filling up, Lodging available on the range. Could use a couple more good RO's, I always like to have a few extra a around.
Don't miss this match.

I am just amazed you were able to get the battery in, 3 times in a few weeks.
I never did get the battery in the one I had,, returned it. What a sorry design.Very simple, put the cap on, turn backwards slowly with slight pressure. When you feel the threads drop in, turn forward till snug. I have done probably 20-30 in the shop, never once had a problem.
-
I zero according to the match, anywhere from 25-100 yards
-
Have been using several FF3 for years, slide ride, and 45* offset, change the batteries once a year, same as my JPoints.
ETA, I like the JPoint reticles better

but how many USPSA/PCC matches have shots out to those distances. While I understand wanting to have good groups out that far, I don’t see it mattering for most stage setups, especially 100 yards.
I shoot several with targets at 100, a "group" at 20 is "buckshot" at 100.
Even a 2" group at 50 can easily be 10" at 100, depending on barrel or bullet, or velocity.

I use 147 gr lead bullets over 2.7-2.8 gr of Clay Dot 138PF. 16" cheap barrel from Midway. 1:10 twist. Stacks bullets at 20 yds.
20?
how is it at 50 or 100 yds, who cares about 20

I wouldn't pay anything for them, IF they were free, I'd remove the name at the very least.

I don't shoot IDPA, but if missing a target - unless you were shooting way high - is a BS call.
They placed the target there, a miss is not unsafe, unless, like I said you were missing by many, many feet. -
We have always had higher penalties for missing distance targets ( 200+), no point in having distance if there is no added penalty.
But then again , I think a rifle should be utilized as such in a match, if it's paper at 10 yards and steel at 100, that's a PCC match -
Come ON OPEN shooters, I thought we were gonna be close the Tac Ops numbers for a while. Open was running half the reg. count for most of the time. The last 10 days or so Tac Op jumped ahead, Irons has also jumped alot, getting close to Open numbers now
Still some slots available.https://clubs.practiscore.com/2020-missouri-3-gun-championship/register

The VR80 is an interesting shotgun. I've been working on mine for a few months now. I think it has the potential to run with the Dissidents, but the nice thing about the Dissident is it's ready to go to a match the day it shows up. My VR80 is just starting to get reliable after a lot of tweaking. I did not buy mine from T&N though, although they do make great mags.
A factory VEPR is no different, depends on how much vodka the drunk Russian had at assembly time. LOL
-
VR80 from Tooth and Nail Armory, ~1/2 the cost, less weight, less recoil, bigger mags, true AR ergos.
We've been building 3 gun, mag fed shotguns & parts since 2012

I don't reload and have never had this happen with my X5.
I have read of this happening and a possible cause of being stepped brass that is unknowingly loaded to normal brass specs. I really don't know what that means, but it somehow effects the pressure.
Just passing along some info I saw on the net, so you know it must be true!!
I've never had a stepped brass failure in my open pistol, (95gr bullet, 1440 fps) but the same ammo (1850 FPS) in my 10.5" barrel PCC nearly 100% will fail

Wait till they all die off, you will NEVER change them.
I know of at least 5-6 established ranges with similar mindset, that SOMEHOW agreed to allow action shooting - in every case it was successful and brought in a lot of $$ and people.Everyone has been shut down by the "board".
Was at a match this summer, the "long range" bay had to have written permission( 1 year in advance) to be used ( MD had it) my squad was there shooting a stage.A FUDD, board member, arrived wanting to sight in his hunting rifle.
He tried to get the match shut down (~200 shooters) so he could fire 5 shots in 3 hours to check zero.I'll be surprised if they allow another match there

I think most PCC barrels are too slow a twist rate to get good stabilization on the heavy bullets, I have much better accuracy pushing 95's fast than any speed 147 or 124's
Are local matches in your area getting canceled?

mine is still on, for this weekend, RO's dropping out(work or Mil restrictions) will be the biggest problem. getting quite a few new signups, which is keeping the overall number about the same.
